Huckabee: Nelson like Judas on health care reform
ABC Nebraska affiliate ^ | 12/20/09

Posted on 12/20/2009 4:35:00 PM PST by freespirited

Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says those unhappy with the health care overhaul set to be pushed through the Senate this week should express their displeasure at the polls next November.

Huckabee spoke Sunday to a raucous crowd of about 1,800 people at an Omaha rally sponsored by Americans for Prosperity of Nebraska.

Huckabee says the vote on health care reform is a pivotal moment in American history, and he took Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson to task for deciding to support the measure.

Huckabee went so far as to compare Nelson to Judas in the biblical story of Jesus' betrayal. He said the last time a deal like the one Nelson negotiated with Democratic leaders was when "30 pieces of silver exchanged hands."

We're not waiting that long to express our displeasure in my household.

Huckabee has his own FNC show, but everytime he addresses serious issues, he does it with a smile on his face and in a measured tone of voice.

The same goes for his appearances on other Fox shows, such as Geraldo’s, Hannity’s and Fox ‘n Friends. No passion and always that smile.

What’s there to smile about, Governor?

Nelson is like Judas, and the rest of the Dems are like Pontius Pilate.

I trust none of these creatures. Democrat, Republican; they are all steeped in the swill of Washington,DC with very few exeptions. There needs to be a cleaning of the National House. Vote for those whose principles are based in the Constitution, and prepare for the worst case scenario. Listen people, the train has been going in the wrong direction for generations and I don’t know if we can save the Republic. When TSHTF I’m afraid the table will have to be scraped clean and then start from scratch.

From Ben Nelson’s Website: “Following his time as a student, Nelson enjoyed a successful career in insurance law. He served as CEO of the Central National Insurance Group, as chief of staff and executive vice president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and as director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance.”

How much influence did the big insurer’s have in getting his support?

Nelson wants to pretend that he’s pro-life but he is about to vote for federally funded abortions. His state may opt out but America’s taxpayers will be funding abortions with his vote.

There is no other way to spin it. The blood is on his hands.

Given the language he settled for, I suspect his previously claimed reservations about abortion were a cover for what he was really after: money for his state.

I’m hardly surprised that he’s a phony.

If he was really opposed to abortion, he wouldn’t be a democrat.

Democrat, Republican; they are all steeped in the swill of Washington,DC with very few exeptions.

Why not then demand term limits? This little club in DC needs to be broken on an ongoing basis, not just one house cleaning!!!!!

Well you may not like them, but this proves one thing once and for all: DEMOCRATS ARE ALL COMMUNISTS and can NEVER EVER EVER BE TRUSTED!!
The most important thing is to get rid of the Dims at all costs. These are the people standing on our necks. The Dems of all stripe are bad whether they are overt leftists like Bernie Sanders, Barney Frank or Maxine Waters or the sly 5th column types, the wolves in sheep’s clothing like Ben Nelson, Evan Byah, Blanche Lincoln etc.
Dims are worse than ANYTHING or ANYBODY get it! They are worse than detestable rinos such as Lindsey Grahm, Mitt Romney and the 2 Maniacs. They are worse that squishy moderates and uninformed independents.
Focus all of your power against these Dims, especially the most vulnerable Dims. They MUST be defeated AT ALL COSTS.
And you know what, I’d rather have a rino beat Barney Frank, at least that would be an improvement.

SAY IT WITH ME: DUMP THE DIMS. Say it over and over so you know what the real goal is!!!!!

Here is a link to the tape of Mike Huckabee's speech in Omaha today: Link

1,800 is a nice sized crowd for a last-minute protest of sorts.

Senator Nelson of Nebraska cut a special deal. In exchange for agreeing to allow government funds be used for abortions, he got a special deal for Nebraska. The special deal was that Nebraska would not have to pay matching funds for Medicade. All the other 49 states must pay matching funds. Many of those state like my own state of California can not afford to pay those matching funds.

Who pays for Nebraska’s Medicare casts? All of us who live in the other 49 states. BS, I say. We should not stand by while Nebraska sucks money from all the rest of us.

BOYCOTT Nebraska! We should not give them any additional revenue after they got this sweet heart deal.
