And to think that we thought he had integrity. He’s no Christian.

But if it was his vote that was preventing this bill from proceeding then simply voting no would protect his state from Medicaid expansion under the bill since, without his vote, the bill wouldn't have proceeded.

Leftists don't think like that.

Every dem that scams the people and the republicans with stuff like this ends up voting for whatever bill they are pretending to be against.

The only time they come through is when the vote is assured to go the leftist's way, then they will vote against it just to get creds to fool "us" again.

Us is in quotes because I've seen this scam before and knew the outcome.

Scrape a Blue Dog dem and underneath there will be a yellow stripe.

I think we all have standing to take this to the Supreme Court. Is that correct, lawyers?

Gregg Jarrett just told Jim Angle on FNC that this deal for Nebraska is in perpetuity?

Isn't that unconstitutional? I didn't think that Congress can bind future Congresses with laws that they cannot change during their own Congresses.

What's happening?

That is why Militia, Sheriffs and local governments are so important.

And a few brave souls who are willing to take matters into their own hands.

Is this legal? I mean, couldn’t this be a denial of equal protection for residents of other states. And, why wouldn’t other senators now balk until their demands were satisfied. It can’t be a question of principle.

Have you ever heard of Separation of Powers. SCOTUS can only step in with asked to decide a case. They have zero authority to stop anything in Congress until it is passed and then it comes to them for review.

Health insurance companies ought to immediate pull the insurance of congress and for all union employees. If they are going to die, then they might as well take congress and the unions down with them.

Sen. Ben Nelson announces support for health-care bill

By Shailagh Murray and Lori Montgomery
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, December 19, 2009; 10:55 AM

Sen. Ben Nelson (Neb.), the final Democratic holdout on health care, announced to his caucus Saturday morning that he would support the Senate reform bill, clearing the way for final passage by Christmas.

*snip*

The overall cost of the package was not immediately available, but aides said it would be more than covered by cutting future Medicare spending and raising taxes in the health sector, including a 40 percent excise on the most expensive insurance policies. The package would reduce budget deficits by $130 billion by 2019, aides said, and by as much as $650 billion in the decade thereafter.

Not to mention the enormous tax on ALL medical equipment.

And the tax on small business, and individuals that choose to not buy health care.

Of course if they don't pay the opt-out tax, they can be sent to jail by the IRS.

Then they will get health care in jail. That'll teach them!

I'm watching Coburn grumbling right now.

Have they actually voted yet?

The people of Nebraska KNOW what he did, this is very highly visible. It’s not about them, it’s about politics. They elected a Democrat and in the end, he voted with his Party. The difference between Ben Nelson and say, Chuckie Schumer, is Nelson got something for his vote.

I’m fron Nebraska originally and when I ask people in good conservative Red states like Nebraska and Iowa why in hell they elect so-called “Conservative Democrats” like Nelson, the answer always comes down to farm subsidies. I suppose if I were a self-employed farmer with millions of dollars at risk and 100 years of family farming heritage I might be able to understand their thinking better. This is a generalization of course, and I suspect Ben Nelson may just choose to retire rather than run again, so threats of voting him out of office won’t be effective.

He voted his party line, and that’s what Democrats do.
