Well, I’ve raised a child and it seems that you are having a tantrum.
The Dems have 60 seats in the Senate and a majority in the House (as well as the Whitehouse) because we failed to attract enough voters to our ideology to win elecctions. This past cycle in NJ and Virginia were successful because of a clear message and well organized campaigns. That is how we will turn this around, exactly as is provided for in the Constitution.
Hyperbole and foolish calls for violent revolution damage our progress just when progress is mandatory.
It is all I can see that might wake them up. Almost like children that parents must allow to fail to learn a lesson they refuse to learn otherwise.

If we don't pay taxes, the tyrants don't last a month. Maybe we go to jail, maybe there aren't enough jails and no tax money to pay the guards anyway. Maybe we're such sheep we have to do it legally, and actually render ourselves destitute so we don't HAVE to pay taxes. Or maybe we just know what needs to be done, and we go away grieved because we don't want to make any real sacrifices for the land where our fathers died.

If every person who joined a tea party somehow could restrain congress from collecting taxes for JUST ONE DAY.
It would make an impact that they could not dismiss.
But it would take some serious media attention to get it done.
How can we stop them from getting taxes on just ONE DAY to make a statement?
Start with a new Congress that fears the electorate.
True, you have not called for violence but it seems that there are some who answer every set back with a call to arms.
I know you are pissed. I’m not so pissed as I saw it coming and had time to get it out of my system.
My only point is this. Our system was designed by very bright guys who made it so that any mistake, no matter how large, can be reversed. We have to regain power and repeal this bill as well as a lot of the Obama agenda.
This, however, can only be done at the ballot box. We will need the centrists on our side to win but like I said, in NJ and VA, they came over to our side. Polls indicate that this migration is growing. Do not scare them away with fanatical talk. Slow and steady wins the race and we are positioned to do just that.
The take from taxes annually is what, some 500B?

They spend more than that in one day with the stroke of a pen.
I don't see where withholding payments for one day or one year makes them quake.
We are 10 trillion in debt, with more than 100 trillion (100) in unfunded mandates, yet they just passed a trillion dollar spending bill, that is nothing more than a temporary fix.

I submit, withholding $$ from them will not alter their course, only the course of the individuals who participate, on an individual basis.

Read through all of those and then get back to me about changing the direction of our country through the ballot box. Pardon me though if I don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for the prospect. There was a time when Bush II was in office, that we questioned whether or not we’d ever see another election. We did and the media voted for Obama. What we also got was Rahm “never-let-a-good-crisis-go-to-waste” Emanuel and Eric “whitewash” Holder. That pair, in harness with Pelosi and Reid, have dragged our ship of state out of the shallows and onto the rocks. This has all happened in such a manner as to make many of us believe they have some sort of crisis planned which will enable them to suspend the Constitution. They tried to push the Swine Flu pandemic as a crisis but it fizzled. They’ve repeatedly referred to patriots as “terrorists.” Tea partiers became ‘tea baggers’ and massive grassroots demonstrations were branded as “astroturf.”
I don’t know what will happen but I think it would be stupid of us to assume that everything will be alright simply because it always has been. A smarter and better man than I once said “I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past.” Studying the past endeavors of men I see a great many parallels with what is happening now. I’m not encouraged. I believe this once-great country has been hollowed out by traitors and ‘useful idiots’ until it is only a shell of what it was. A strong wind will blow it over and we will be left in the rubble, scratching to live at a subsistence level. An east wind is rising and those who we elected to protect us are opening the windows. It is now up to us to protect ourselves and our country.
you must have something like a nation wide "no work" day......if there are no wages earned....no taxes are sent in...
it will effect business profits as well.....unlike a "don't buy gas" day where it just gets bought the next day no wages earned cannot be easily made up.

I sent a e-mail to Gillibrand’s office and was sent a reply to remove her from my spam list.
I replied that it was not spam and that Gillibrand was my senator and I wanted to send my thought sin to her.
I received another reply that it was “unsolicited e-mail” therefore it was spam!
mind you this is at a .gov e-mail address for the US senate!
Needless to say, I was livid when I called Gillibrands office and reported the e-mail conversation. I sent a third e-mail after that telling them
“how dare you attempt to stop a citizen from contacting their elected representative”
I have received nothing back. But it goes to show the little amount of care they have for any citizens anymore.
