Well, since this is a vanity, I can't resist being vain... here... LOL...

To me there are several things that scream out for clarification... and so I'm going to "go into it"... :-)
First a real minor point, but a question in my mind, anyway. Are you saying that something is going to happen on December 25th? Or, are you referring to the "season" and not to the "day"... just wondering...
Secondly, since you are referring to religious matters and obviously to the Bible, or you wouldn't be talking about Christmas in the first place -- I would have to disagree about the "ultimate sacrilege". I think the ultimate one is the one that Jesus, Himself, mentioned, in referring to Daniel's prophecy about the abomination of desolation -- which is -- the one (referred to in Daniel, and the one we refer to as the "Antichrist") who will stand in the holy place, in Jerusalem (i.e., the Temple, which hasn't been built yet...) and declare himself to be "God" and to be worshipped as "God".
Now, that's what I call the ultimate sacrilege (and I think Jesus does, too...).
And then, thirdly, for all the rest of y'all who may or may not be religious.
I hope y'all realize that one way or another -- y'all are going to be living in a one-world government whether you like it or not...
Actually, a lot of y'all are going to be living in two different one-world governments (whether you like it or not...) -- if you are still alive and get through this mess coming up.
Yep, first there is going to be the one-world government (being set up right now) which Satan will take control over, when it's set up to his satisfaction and will install his man in place, the Antichrist.
And then, the second one-world government that y'all live through (if you manage to survive the first one, which is a big question mark, if you do) -- will be the one that the Messiah of Israel sets up, after He destroys the first one-world government.
So, you could say that what is coming -- and it's an appropriate time to mention it at Christmas time, for sure) -- is the "War of the competing one-world governments"!
Yep, that's what y'all have to look forward to.
I have a feeling a goodly number of y'all will not like the one-world government of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, either -- and the laws that He imposes on you.
But, oh well... what can you do?
Thought y’all might like this vanity, since it is Christmas and we can talk about the coming one-world government that we all want to come here...

May I modify that somewhat and bring it "up to date" and "in context" of what a lot of people are concerned about here. I think by pointing this out -- it will become "way more relevant" to a lot of posters here... :-)

Has it occurred to anyone that “Satan’s man” (the antichrist) may already very well be “in place?” You know... the guy who was raised without a father, origin somewhat cloudy, comes out of relatively nowhere to instantaneous fame and adulation, speaks brilliantly, charms the socks off (almost) everyone..... etc. etc. You know. THAT man?
Zero certainly has the spirit of antichrist in him (Satan)....I know because Hugo Chavez just said so! (called him the devil....it takes one to know one)

As evil as they both are, I vote for Maurice Strong or whoever the new head of the EU is - don’t recall his name.
I believe THE antichrist must come from the revived Roman empire (Europe) so don’t think our evil world emperor wannabes qualify.....but maybe they will be acolytes for the real AC.

The Bible says that there are many "antichrists" but there is only one that is described as the one who fits Jesus, the Messiah of Israel's statement about the "abomination of desolation" (in the Daniel prophecy).
So, while he may be one of the continuing and very long line of "antichrists" that the world has always had -- he's not "the" Antichrist as in the one described in Daniel...
Sorry, he misses on that one... :-)
And by the way, that future one as told to us in Daniel, that Jesus referred to -- he's the one who will enter into an agreement or actually enforce an agreement in which Israel will dwell in safety and security in the land (their land) and they will be able to build a Temple again (the Third Temple).

That's the standard and traditional understanding for where the Antichrist comes from. Recently there have been some Bible prophecy teachers who are saying that he may actually be the "Mahdi" of the Muslims and that this is who is that Antichrist.
That looks intriguing, but I don't think that's it.
But, I'm also sure that this dumbo that we have isn't it either... LOL...
