ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said she cut short her Hawaii vacation because of paparazzi, who photographed her wearing a sun visor with the name of John McCain blacked out.
The pictures were circulated widely on the Internet with speculation the redaction was a slight against McCain, but Palin said she meant no disrespect to her former GOP running mate.
"In an attempt to 'go incognito,' I Sharpied the logo out on my sun visor so photographers would be less likely to recognize me and bother my kids or other vacationers," Palin said in a statement.

Let me get this straight... President Obama (President of the United States) bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia is no big deal, but Sarah Palin (private citizen) marking out McCain’s name on a visor is news worthy of broadcast.

She goes on vacation and THIS is newsworthy while the Climate gate scandal is STILL not covered? Seems your angst is misdirected here.
I don't have ANY candidates other than liking what Palin is saying right now.
But face it: wearing a hat with McCain's name blotted from it in public is goofball.

During the month of Aug. Sarah and her family were here in San Diego while she was finishing her book. She was seen wearing similar here and no one bothered with her and the family. A non story.
NOW that Sarah has drawn thousands and thousands of people
in freezing, snowing weather all over the U.S. and many TV interviews and her book selling over a million in a few weeks, The Liberal media felt, time to take Sarah down, she is too popular and about even in the polls with Obama.
