Barack Obama's speech disappoints and fuels frustration at Copenhagen (ROFL!)

Barack Obama stepped into the chaotic final hours of the Copenhagen summit today saying he was convinced the world could act "boldly and decisively" on climate change.
But his speech offered no indication America was ready to embrace bold measures, after world leaders had been working desperately against the clock to try to paper over an agreement to prevent two years of wasted effort and a 10-day meeting from ending in total collapse.
Obama, who had been skittish about coming to Copenhagen at all unless it could be cast as a foreign policy success, looked visibly frustrated as he appeared before world leaders.

He may be the president but i honestly would not piss on him, if he was on fire for the way he has cheapened the presidency into a celebrity consolation prize.

May this whole farce of man-made climate change continue to fall apart at the seams. It is, in reality, nothing more than a revenue generator for certain governments and industries. It would do absolutely NOTHING to change the environment, and these snake oil salesmen know it.
May the same fate befall ‘health care reform’ as well.

Obama is headed towards another foreign policy failure. He can't help but to step into it!

Well, he likes to think he can come to big meetings in Copenhagen, at the last minute, and seal the deal.
We all remember his success with getting the Olympics don’t we?????
Obama might be gun shy about Copenhagen now. His best efforts at negotiation/closing the deal don’t work.

It isn’t over until the fat lady sings but...
If all these reports like the Guardian are true it appears Copenhagen will REALLY turn out to be Constipagan.

I read alot of the comments on site of the Guardian article and the mood is definately down with the “good and smart” people on the left. They are defending Obama against what they now see as unreasonable expectations. This is interesting considering that Obama did not really run for President, but for “Saviour of the World”. The whole image, from the speeches and the art to the unified mainstream media message, was orchestrated to paint Obama as a mini-god. He was so smart and unifying that all the worlds problems would be solved, just through force of personality. Now suddenly, he is just a regular guy struggling with the typical realities of the office. All of this begs the following question. Without divine status, what kind of President will Obama be?

True enough — but a dying snake is easier to avoid, or hit with a shovel. He’ll be defanged by 2010 anyway.
