A new poll from the Tarrance Group (R) commissioned by the American Future Fund aims to put the squeeze on Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson (D) over health care.
In the survey (500 LVs, 12/14-15, MoE +/- 4.5%), respondents were asked: "In general, do you favor or oppose President Obama's plan to expand health care coverage to most Americans even if this plan increases the role of the federal government in health care and increases the cost of the deficit." Two-thirds responded that they oppose it, compared to 26 percent who favor it.

All the money being thrown around and not accounted for "I believe" will be
funneled into the pockets of those who go along. Speeches, book deals
and whatever else they can think up. I can't wait to catch all the Rats
stealing tax money.

Even NBC/MSNBC poll, Dec 16....
Just 32 percent say it's a good idea,
versus 47 percent who say it's a bad idea

I thought I heard President Obama say we would go bankrupt if we didn't pass the health care bill. The question I have is, how will us spending money on this keep our Government from bankrupt?

Ben Nelson does not care if his political career is ended by his vote on Heathcare. He and other Democrats deemed EXPENDABLE believe that they will return to Washington, DC as lobbyists -- IF AMERICA let's them. Your job is to let them know this course will also be blocked.

I suppose that someone has considered flipping Nelson over to being a Republican; he could be pro-life, he could vote in accordance with the apparent wishes of his constituents and he could vote his concscience?

The question I have is, how will us spending money on this keep our Government from bankrupt? Your question is too astute to reply with a glib answer.
I can only say, again, that this bill is nothing more than the current administration and those that will sign onto to the bill, desire to have a NAMING RIGHT....LOOK what we did for you!
They don't care if it does nothing to improve the already accessible health care system.
They only want to pass it for political reasons.

You've asked a valid question.
I know for a fact I don't have all the answers to your question. I welcome others to make LAW-ABIDING suggestions as well. None-the-less, I believe that one way to block lobbyists is by exposing them.
Not giving them a chance to work and make deals in the shadows. By photographing them along with every single contact they make and posting those pictures online and letting everyone know the photos exist. Lobbyists do not want themselves photographed often and they especially do not want any of their contacts or family members photographed. Legally following their every move with pictures puts them on notice that they are being watched.

I got $10 bucks saying he votes “yes”. I remember in ‘93 the Senate voted to pass Clintons tax increases and the 51st vote came from a Nebraska Senator Bob Kerry (he retired afterwards).

Ben will fold like a cheep suit.
Big talk is cheep and Ben has a good line of B.S.
He will comply and vote as ordered.

I wish this were an accurate picture of the Nebraska electorate, but the question is not stated in a neutral fashion. I know this is how we all view the question, but it is not how it is likely to be viewed in the minds of most voters.
