In a nutshell, the AZ Republic (a pro-McCain/establishment rag) is accusing Hayworth of playing conservatives for fools in an attempt to get them to pay off his legal bills and that instead of challenging McCain, he should try to take his old Congressional seat back.

Hayworth, on his very popular radio show, refers to the AZ Republic as the “AZ Repugnant”. That descriptor has pretty much stuck amongst AZ conservatives.

J.D. is going to have to take a whiz or get off the pot here.
It takes time to beat a path through the districts and get people on board.
As for pot shots at him, that’s really going to help the party be strong. /s
I don’t see how voting an Edsel with three flat tires back into office is going to help matters.
