COPENHAGEN — Police are using tear gas and batons to disperse crowds of protesters trying to disrupt the U.N. climate talks in Copenhagen.

Police spokesman Per Larsen says 230 protesters have been detained in the clashes outside the suburban conference center.

Television pictures showed a man being pushed from the roof of a police van and stuck with a baton by an officer.

Protesters said they wanted to take over the global conference — and turn it into a "people's assembly."

Here we go again. It has just occurred to me that Both Birmingham, Alabama and Chicago were run by Democrats in the respective photos. The people running Denmark , and particularly Copenhagen are not exactly Reagan conservatives. If the future ever devolves into Orwell's 'Policeman's boot grinding into a human face', it is more than likely that the people giving the orders will be Liberals.

Isn’t the conference on THEIR side? LOL! The welfare checks come on the 1st of the month, so the eco-environmental terrorist & wackos had 2 weeks on their hands, and Hey, lets go protest & riot & create mayhem. They don't believe in Christmas or the Christian holidays, so it's not as if Christmas is going to hinder them.
