Lawmakers pushing for immigration reform say job losses and a sluggish economy should not deter legislation legalizing illegal immigrants.Hispanic, black, Asian and other House lawmakers backing immigration overhaul called Tuesday for legalizing illegal immigrants in the U.S., despite a weakened economy and joblessness.
The coalition of lawmakers said Tuesday immigration reform can protect American workers as well as bring into the mainstream economy productive immigrant workers who have lived in the shadows because of their illegal status.
"For those who say that given the state of our economy, given the unemployment rate, this is not the time, I would say to you there is no wrong or right time. There is a moral obligation," said Rep. Lydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., chairwoman of the Congressional

“...legislation legalizing illegal immigrants.”
Well, given the fact our current administration are RUN BY A BUNCH OF FRICKIN’ MARXISTS/STATISTS this makes TOTAL SENSE!
I swear there’s gonna be a revolution....and it ain’t gonna be pretty!
Damn these politicians! American citizens are losing their jobs, their livelihoods, and those who are not are either hanging on for dear life or their circumstances have them by the short hairs, and these bastards want to REWARD criminal invaders who are contributing to our misfortune? These pieces of sh!t have got to go.
Worst Congress, ever. Worst President, ever.
But hey...there are some great sales at Wal-Mart and KOHLS!

Thanks. How are we suppose to stop them this time?
The Dems are now going to use reconsilation to pass Health Care with the Public Option in the Senate.

Then pay for and let them move in with you, bitch.
Worst President ever and he’s probably not a real President.
I like your post. I like your comments. I detest the screen name.
It makes it look like people who support the issues you raised, are comfortable with supporting a second civil war.
There may one day be a second civil war, but I’m sure not going to put it out there that I think it’s a good idea, or that I want to be known as a person who wanted to raise the issue on this forum with each and every post I made.
One of our biggest problems here, is that the media casts us as a bunch of wing nuts and crazies.
Your screen name isn’t going to help.

IMO, the reason we’re losing is because leading Republicans don’t clearly define Conservatism to the public. Not knowing what Conservatism is, people only stumble into the Republican ranks because they realize the people on the left are certifiable.
It’s bad enough we have RINOs in the leadership, I’ll be damned if I want folks on the right to look certifiable as well.
Sound Conservative principles will draw people across party lines. Pushing for a second civil war won’t.
I would of agreed with you about 10-15 years ago but now there is too much hate and division in this country. I would like to hope for the best as well, but that hope is fading fast.
Thanks for the response. I understand where you’re coming from. We’re all at our wits end with this pretender in the Oval Office.
I will tell you, you and I are a couple of people without a party these days. Hardly anyone is out there explaining why our founding documents are sound, what principles we should be pursuing, and how this government is out of control.
A couple of hours ago, I read that during Bush’s term in office, our national debt went up 81%. How can we expect people to listen, when we demand the Democrats not spend so much?
Our party leaders are killing our cause.
