How many booths are there at CPAC? I have a feeling that the Birchers are doing a some self-agrandizing by calling rental of a couple of booth spaces at a conference a "cosponsorship".

Oh boy. Watch the double standard swing into play.
As others have pointed out, The John Birch Society is a damaged brand and by the time the news media maligns it, CPAC might find a dwindled speakers’ list for next year.
Of course, the media might lie in wait and pounce at the most opportune time.
JBS’s participation doesn’t sound like a winner to me.

Horrible move on CPAC’s part to associate itself with the nutty birchers.
Noticeably in the last year the Birchers and Paulists have been filling the vacuum left by the purged people who did so much to build FR and made it better then just some proudly “fringe” website. I think it will get worse.
Somebody call the plumber, I think this JBS thread backed up the commode.
My dad, who was quite conservative, had reservations about JBS, thought it was too extreme, as I recall. I think I asked him to read the book, but don't remember what he specifically said about it. Hadn't thought of JBS for a long time.
In a related report, A+Bert and Ash both recalled five dollar donations to FR made during black-outs and have announced their cosponsorship of the famous Jim Thompson internet site, FreeRepublic.
