The John Birch Society is one of the best patriotic organizations we have. I’d love it if they joined up with the Tea Partiers!

Yes yes, but the middle road groupies and the liberal wing of the Republican party thinks they're too insensitive...ka-ka-po-po

I respect the JBS also. I used to subscribe to The New American magazine before my vision deteriorated, & was blown away by their insistence on having our Congresscritters abide by their Constitutional Oath (what a concept!).

Their FREEDOM INDEX is awesome, & I learned a lot about US history, the goodness of Founding Fathers, & Original Intent due to reading it. IMO, anyone who would call themselves a patriot should pay attention to it.

The real, and only, problem with the John Birch Society is that they were successfully demonized by the left. So much so that even staunch conservatives have a definite knee jerk reaction to the name. In my experience, few people, left or right, know anything more about the JBS than that they have heard, somewhere, that they are bad.

JBS needs to re-brand and market themselves as what they are - not what the left wants to portray them as.

I was a John Birch member a long time ago, and found it to be clean.

Even one of the Dean's of Norte Dame was on their board of directors.
