“Theres only one true evangelist.....

I used to think so. He turned pretty liberal in his last days in the media. He was saying some crazy things before his son took over. He sure liked Bill and Hillary. Abortion did not seem to bother him As he thought that Bill and Hill were a good choice of leaders.

Wasn’t he the nutcase who said God told him he was going to take the good rev. if the congregation didn’t belly up with enough dough to build his new church?

Nah...I can't see that.Not Billy Graham.
I think abortion did bother him,and i'm sure he prayed for guidance and direction as Clinton was being elected.
He didn't get Clinton elected-MTV did. What are the sources of the "crazy things" he said before his son took over the ministry? I'm just curious.

Yes, that is him. I guess he didn’t get a chance to finish the fundraising letter this time...
To: Jagman
Yep...something like “8 million in 30 days” or something like that, and he got the money.

I think it was ORU and The City of Faith, a medical center here in Tulsa...I’m not sure thought.
I know that ORU is now a highly respected university despite it nearly going under a couple of years or so ago due to poor management (and probably other reasons) from Richard Roberts...the guy that owns Mardels/Hobby Lobby bailed it out, Richard Roberts stepped down and now it seems to be thriving.
City of Faith is now an office complex/medical park that is managed by another company and from I understand they rent it for $1 a year. It’s called CityPlex.
Didn’t Oral Roberts run for president??
To: 2Jedismom
I didn’t know Mardels and Hobby Lobby were the same chain. “Bibles, Crafts, and Office Supplies” was a winning combination, I thought!

I don’t approve of that sort of thing either, but you could at least wait ‘til the body’s in the ground. Nil nisi bonum, and all that.

He sure was a fiery preacher. As a small kid he used to scare the heck out of me.

My condolences to his family.
Rest well, warrior of G_d. Your trials and travails here are over. Well done.
