What a spectacle!
I’m thinking this may be coming out of the suit filed in NY by ACORN and the laughably named Center for Constitutional Rights. ACORN is based in NY now, having moved its headquarters in Aug or Sept after shutting down their New Orleans hdqtrs. I suspect the move was at least in part motivated by intent to shop for a friendlier venue for a lawsuit.
If this GJ was empaneled to look into that ACORN suit, then anything that happened anywhere would no doubt be salient, according to all the smarmy lawyers looking to save ACORN’s corrupt butt.
