"For the first timein the last relatively free election Germany was to havethe Nazi Party now could employ all the vast resources of the government to win votes. Goebbels was jubilant. "Now it will be easy," he wrote in his diary on February 3, "to carry on the fight, for we can call on all the resources of the State. Radio and press are at our disposal. We shall stage a masterpiece of propaganda. And this time, naturally, there is no lack of money."
Agreed.
Many speak of 'erosion of our rights'. I submit the correct description - 'a challenge to our rights'.
I don't recall the Germans in prewar Germany having an enumerated Bill of Rights.
Our form of government allows for a challenge to our Rights, with grave consequences resulting.
To not defend our God given Rights is to abandon them in entirety. Obama can not take our rights away, he can only challenge them. It is up to We the People to set him straight.
The national socialist, Hitler, was defeated and overthrown by an alliance of those who would not submit to his socialist evil. The soviet socialist, Stalin, was blocked by those who would not submit, and his evil empire eventually collapsed. Both were extremely expensive endeavors, although not as expensive as losing would have been. I hope stopping Obama is no more expensive in dollars or in lives than the two previous socialists who wanted to rule the world.
You've got a typo in there somewhere...
CA....
I call Obama’s logo a “BARISTIKA”
Familiar? This is where I came in . . . literally.
Familiar quotes:
The Jew is using the black as muscle against you. And you are left there helpless. Well, what are you going to do about it, whitey? Just sit there?
You are assuming a lot. Why wasn't Hitler stopped at the ballot box? What makes you think Obama will allow us an opportunity to do so?
I believe the only way we may stop him is by lawsuits, until the voters gain some sanity.
I call that logo the 0bagoatsema.
Under the Constitution of the Wiemar Republic, they did. And those were mostly based on rights provided for in the earlier Constitution of 1848.
They had most of the same rights, in slightly different form, as guaranteed by our own Bill of Rights.
Except the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
And not exactly defeated. He offed himself.
Chicago nazis in the movie “The Blues Brothers”...
Wonder THAT IS THE PLAN all along..
Thanks for the information El Gato. I'll have to study this further.
On the face of it, perhaps the Right to Keep and Bear Arms will be the one enumerated right that prevents history from repeating itself.
Good quote!
Last winter, I was working my way through a DVD course called “A History of Hitler’s Empire”. I was interested to learn that, contrary to typical political party behavior in Germany, the National Socialists did not stop campaigning once the elections were over. Instead, they were in “perpetual-campaign mode” - not unlike what America has seen since November 2008.
“preserve or obtain “
Thanks, just got back from the rally in DC!!!!
That is a machiavellian tactic; no matter what you hold, do all you can to get more power.
Yeah...us evil conservatives do not want the poor and blacks to have health care. I hear it now.
“He offed himself”,
Uhh, yeah, I know. Him offing himself probably worked better than the overall plan to “bring him to justice” would have.
It was enough his underlings got brought to justice,(my Italian teacher at U. of Chicago was also a criminal prosecutor at Nuremberg); it was quite enough that Adolf brought HIMSELF to justice, because that’s EXACTLY what he did. Admitted defeat. Admitted cosmic hubris, apocalyptic folly, and the tragically mistaken premises he and his county accepted that enabled them to wreak incalculable damage on civilization, and all with a clean conscience.
