On the eve of the meeting, Obama slammed bankers on network television, calling them "fat-cat bankers" on CBS's "60 Minutes" program.
"I did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat-cat bankers on Wall Street," Obama said in an interview on the television show. "They're still puzzled why it is that people are mad at the banks.
"Well, let's see, you guys are drawing down $10 [million], $20 million bonuses after America went through the worst economic year that it's gone through in -- in decades, and you guys caused the problem. And we've got 10% unemployment."

Obama’s hatred of Corporate America is bubbling over and flowing out of his mouth. More of “Middle America” are witnessing the true “candidate” that they elected and DON”T like what they should have had the sense to see 15 months ago! It makes me sick that we are paying for STUPID VOTERS!

I don’t know if I’m more offended by his constant socialist views, or the fact that he can’t let a day go by without being in front of a camera.
I know I should be an informed citizen and watch evereything he says and does, but I just can’t stand to look at him.

Agreed. I would love to see a bank CEO angrily retort something like, "And we're not going to cooperate with the First Fat-cat who clearly has no idea how banking works."
Watching this petulent weasel implode and blame everyone else is the perfect run-up to the 2010 elections.

The irony about flying is today’s event. I think i heard on fox that some said they must miss the meeting because Washington was socked in and their planes couldn’t land.

For those who want to see how entrenched Obama is to those “fat cat bankers”, read this Rolling Stone article. It’s long, but excellent. Nearly everyone in his financial cabinet is from one or another of the big banks that got bailed out. Some were doing both at the same time!! While they held massive stock in these companies and worked on legislation that controlled who got what amount in TARP money.
Trust me, this is an excellent article. He did make a slam at tea baggers and I chided him in the comments for it, but it was one small paragraph in a six page article so I can ignore that for the helluva good job on the journalism throughout the rest of the article.
