A cold-hearted animal killer stabbed his mother-in-law's feline to death with an umbrella, and then told relatives: "It was only a cat, who cares?" lawyers said Friday.
Lordtyshon Garrett, 31, terrorized the 9-pound pussycat by poking and beating her, leaving the pet with injuries as severe as if she had fallen off a high-rise building or been hit by a car, animal experts said.
In a futile attempt to fight back, the 4-year-old feline, Madea, bit and scratched the plastic umbrella. The ASPCA found the cat's DNA on the umbrella and used it to pin the crime on Garrett, whose DNA also was found.

Any of my cats would be preferable to Barack Obama in the White House.
Honestly I just think he is trying to get a rise out of some of us.
No, it is a Noahide rule...
If you don’t know the difference between “precursor” and “precrime” then you are too deep into comic books for me to help.
And would you want your mom/dad/child/cousin to marry someone who tortures animals?
Maybe you think it is OK.
The contents of the cat box would be an improvement.
I bet this case went to the head of the line.
>>Honestly I just think he is trying to get a rise out of some of us.<<
After 18 years of my beloved Neysa and then an additional 17 year (25 years folks — longer than most of you have been alive!) it may work, but not in the way he thinks.
My cats knew love. These jerks just know things. And things they shall have. But, no matter what they say, it is clear their definition of “love” is just “sex” and “results thereof.”
Want to really start a cat fight, try to convince some folks here that at least some kinds of animals have souls. (Referred to in the creation account as “nephesh.”)

People at least have a fighting chance. Killing a cat (or dog) is like killing a 3 year old. That is the reasoning power of an average cat.
And Christ may have died for me and not for our pets, but He and God certainly didn’t give use the capacity to love and mourn our pets for nothing. I think it is yet another way He tests us. We never stand so tall as when we stoop to love.
But many on this thread would just kill pets capable of love and paint those of us who dare to love them with insults.
I am not the final call, but make thine cases before God.
>>You are clueless.<<
And you are soulless.
An animal’s life is not more important than a human one, but it deserves more consideration than a chair. If someone killed a pet in my neighborhood, I’d want to know who it was so that I and my pets would know who to avoid or be armed against.
I love my cats and dogs, but I know they aren’t human.
If someone killed one of them, I would be very upset. I wouldn’t kill someone over it though.
If someone did it to one of my kids, well we would skin them alive and hang them by their entrails.

It isn’t about the souls of our beloved pets. It is about OUR souls. Can (and will) God recreate our beloveds when we are called in the by and bye? He is supreme of course he will/can!!! The rainbow bridge exists, and is animated with God’s breath.
Did Jesus die for Musica’s immortal life? Of course not. Musica was not put here to be saved. Did God put me here to find and keep Musica, learn from her, love her and learn what unconditional love is from her? Certainly!
She and Neysa wait for me. Not with the complex souls that we humans were burdened with. More, with the bright souls more akin to angels.
If there is a heaven and my babies aren’t there, then it isn’t heaven.
This “thing” needs to be put down before he does the same thing to a human being.
And he will, you know.
He’s sick and he won’t get any better. Anyone who defies him in the future is going to be in just as much danger as that poor cat was.
>>Did he mean to torture or is he city slicker not good at dispatching anamals?<<
I think you hung a left and I was still going straight — but maybe it is just as well.
If it works for you, post a little explanation while I check on this “sleep” thing I have read about....
:)
I checked. out the article, he didn’t kill the cat. The vet did, for injuries it got the prior day. Wasting a DNA test on this is a crime.
