Dems Cancel Copenhagen Trip

Socializing another huge chunk of the U.S. economy is more important than saving the planet:

Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, told colleagues on Saturday that Democrats could not send a delegation to the United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen.

“It doesn’t look like we’re going -– not as a delegation,” Mr. Kerry told colleagues as a he left the Senate chamber after a vote on a package of spending measures. “Harry needs the people here on health care.”

Harry is the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, and to say that Mr. Reid needs his caucus members in Washington for the health care debate is an understatement.

Several senators had hoped to attend the conference, including Barbara Boxer of California, the chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, and many members of her panel.

Beside all the other things he is and is not (is not a person worthy of the oxygen he takes up) - he is a bonafide traitor.

He met with the enemy (v.cong) in Paris three times WHILE SERVING - IN UNIFORM.

That is an act of treason. That should not only have landed him in the brig, but he is is legally not qualified to hold ANY elected office, even dog catcher (which would be above his native abilities.)

Had he made it to POTUS, he was ready to hand us over to the UN and One World Gov't.

Oh yeah. Hunkered down by my wood stove. the 11 year sun spot cycle that's the cold half of the 22 year solar maximum/minimum cycle, is stretching beyond the average 11 years this time. I am not looking forward to it here. (However, up here in the northern part of the state, it's winters like this, along with the distance from the tinsel cities, that keep the herd-instinct libRats at bay, so...)

I don’t know if he even carries a business card. And I have had little communication with him over the past few years. In fact I have not even emailed or phoned him on the AGW scam. It's time for the world environmental movement to demand teleconferencing replace all international assemblies due to the emissions incurred through events like the Copenhagen, the G-20, the UN, etc. Obama could have set an example by accepting his Nobel Prize electronically rather than invade Northern Europe with a fleet of jets carrying him and his entourage. The same formula could be applied to the U.S. Congress. They could stay in their states and districts while legislating via teleconferencing. The transportation and housing savings would be large not to mention curtailing the culture of elitism that has grown around living in DC.
