Dems Cancel Copenhagen Trip
Socializing another huge chunk of the U.S. economy is more important than saving the planet:
Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, told colleagues on Saturday that Democrats could not send a delegation to the United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen.
It doesnt look like were going - not as a delegation, Mr. Kerry told colleagues as a he left the Senate chamber after a vote on a package of spending measures. Harry needs the people here on health care.
Harry is the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, and to say that Mr. Reid needs his caucus members in Washington for the health care debate is an understatement.
Several senators had hoped to attend the conference, including Barbara Boxer of California, the chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, and many members of her panel.

Will. You got my attention before I sign off. I have to hit the sack. I am very aware of every thing going on for many years within our country on this issue. I am with you in your sentiments (well founded). Perhaps some of our Republican Senators along with Senator Inholfe will be able to shame the rest of the Senate with some solid facts and keep at least our Senate from continuing to be solid assholes and anti-American, as well as totally ill informed on all issues relating to AGW and for that matter the whole GW scam, since it is simply that. The sun cycles, 11, 22, etc., deep outer space radiation bombardment on the upper atmosphere, (I am being very brief as well as generic), and solar motions of the earth ...wobble.... it gets very complicated.............show us there is no simply cause and effect for global warming and global cooling during each phase of each on earth.
It is high time all the assholes on the Hill are brought into at least a simple educations, and somehow, not sure we can stop the clowns within the EPA and elsewhere among the zero crowed to back off.
Easier said then done. Again. Appreciate your input. But I really have to sign off and get some sleep in preparations to work till 11PM tomorrow.
Do have a great upcoming day.

On May 18, 1910, Halley's Comet transited the Sun's disk, and the Earth actually passed through its tail. At the time, the comet's tail was thought to contain poisonous-levels of cyanogen and gas. The popular media picked up this fact and wove sensational tales of mass cyanide poisoning engulfing the planet. In reality, of course, the gas is so diffuse that the world suffered no ill-effects from the passage through the tail.We have also “survived”: — "The Population Bomb" (although the author's 1968 prediction that hundreds of millions of deaths in the 1980s due to famine didn't come true, he DID sell 2 million books cha-ching!) — Global Cooling (popularized by Newsweek's 1975 “The Cooling World” article, although the world's polar bear population has increased five-fold since then, the new Ice Age seems to have been grossly overestimated ... OR was it just simply delayed until now, hmmmm?!) — Killer Bees (remember in the 1978 movie “The Swarm” when the nuclear power plant exploded near Houston after bees invaded the control room? LOL) — The Jupiter Effect (March 1982 passed with no massive gravitational shift on earth causing massive tectonic shifts, although Michael Jackson rocked the world with “Thriller”) — Y2K (Even Dick Clark flinched a little bit when that ball dropped at midnight) — Swine Flu (So ... Obama didn't actually need that Squalene-fortified H1N1 vaccination, after all?) — etc
Some things never change ... Scientists give the reporters the headlines they want. Reporters give the scientists the attention they crave.

And people who where on those river cruises witness to the fact the clown blew away a fleeing un-armed goon with the fifty mount located on his craft one time he approached the shore line when enemy where spotted. I was not there.
Correct, you werent there. And, like many who werent there, you have managed to come up with observations made by NO ONE who was there.
I was there. And I, along with the 24-25 others who were there, have never said the guy Kerry killed was unarmed. In fact, he had a B-40.
No one has said he was shot by the twin-50. In fact, that guy was wounded in the leg by the forward M-60, as mentioned in the after-action report. He was able to get up and run. When shot by Kerry he was turned back toward the boat.

...a huge ice sculptured Polar Bear there, which is suppose to slowly melt down by the closing ... This to reflect their extinction of course. Wonder what theyll use to melt that down.... They will use a high-capacity kerosene heater. This will reflect the need to warm our houses in view of a Dalton-minimum level of cold in the wake of little to no sunspots.

That looks like an “cool” machine. I think Kerry uses that each morning to revive his cold, dead brain (although the results are not so good). Kerry’s wife’s dead husband (Heinz) myst be spinning in his grave with each breath this loser Kerry takes. I know...he “served” in Viet Nam and has 3 Purple Hearts (his license plate still is 3 PH). Johnnie...sign the release for your discharge papers. Freakazoid!

This is you?
Second, a few minutes ago I spoke with a Vietnam vet named Doug Reese, who works with Vietnam's official tourist agency and has visited the country frequently. In particular, Reese visited Tran Thoi in March and spoke with several villagers who were witnesses to the Silver Star incident. He identified himself as a journalist, not a Swift boat vet, and he didn't have a cameraman with him, but he thinks it's likely that Khoai confused his visit (March) with Mason's visit (Swift boat related) to come up with the quote he gave Nightline. Reese is a Kerry supporter and no fan of SBVT, but even so, he says, "I'm confident the Swift boat guys didn't go there."

Ask your brother if he has seen this:

I’d be very curious on his “take” on it.

Yes. “There” being with the three boat group that went up the canal that day. I spoke to Kerry a few minutes after this particular portion of the action took place.
The twin-50 gunner (Fred Short) would have liked nothing better than to shoot that VC, but the safety bar surrounding the gun tub prevents the gun from depressing to that degree.
Keep in mind that the VC was initially in a hole, just off to the right of the boat — quite close, perhaps 20 ft or less.
So it was left to the M-60 guy (Tommy Beladeau), but his gun jammed after a few rounds. But Tommy did hit the VC in the leg . . . but he got up and took off, with the B-40.
As I said, what happened is in the after-action report.

PS. What kind of plane? What part of VN?

To answer your second question, yes, that’s me.
