Eric Cantor (R) dodges question on Palin's qualification (He's scared of Palin)
You make an interesting observation. There is no way you’re ever going to get Republicans to agree upon a single candidate. Trying to control Republicans is like herding cats. I’ve seen it up close. You do not tell Republicans what they are going to do.
The MSM is so snide & sarcastic that they can't even say Sarah's surname without smirking --- that "interview" arranged by those Romney Aides of McCain's with Little Miss Katie Couric is NOT going to be forgotten anytime during KT's lifetime, nor the political lifetimes of Nicole Wallace and Mitt Romney.
So I think that the passion is based on Honest Hostility and a sense of protectiveness AKA, "How dare you????"
Obama worship was predicated upon the deification of a clinical narcissist.
Entirely different things.

“You can choose to diminish Palin supporters by accusing them of Obama style worship but I choose to call it passion for our future.”
You can call it anything you like but it all boils down to blind faith and in anyting other than religious issues that will eventually spell disaster when your blind faith hits the wall of reality.
Especially in politics.
All I ask is you don’t take us all down with you.
Blame the party leaders if the ship goes down. They are the ones who want conservatives to go sit in a corner. McCain would have been giving us socialist health care and amnesty for illegals the same as Obama.
Passion is not ‘blind faith’. Not sure how you equate the two. I am passionately supporting Sarah Palin based on what I’ve seen, heard, read about her and her beliefs which match closely to my own. Blind faith would be believing in something in spite of no evidence.
The Republican party is really worried. They don’t know how to get the genie back in the bottle. She just won’t obey them. That’s because Palin’s not working for the Republicans - she’s speaking for Americans. No wonder they’re just not that into her.
The problem is there are too many different republicans. There’s only ond kind of democrat. Followers. Republicans actually think. I think the only answer is a third party. The big tent thing collapses every time.
You don't know what you're talking about. If the "GOP experts" (as you sarcastically refer to these august people), are not qualified to guide us then please explain to me how we have a Republican President as well as Republican majorities in both houses of congress.
'Not qualified' - Ha! I laugh at the notion!
Palin has the highest approval among republicans, why are you wasting time with who the democrats approve of?
Huckster is done is my guess but Romney does have cash..his own too but he can’t fill big venues
Hey hennie pennie,
According to Wikipedia, Jindal is natural-born: (his original name is Piyush)
“Piyush Jindal was born on June 10, 1971, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Indian immigrants Amar and Raj Jindal, who had recently arrived for Amar to attend graduate school at Louisiana State University.” (wikipedia)
Yes not only will the Dems fight hard for Obama, but they would be motivated 10x more if Palin were the opponent because losing to her would be the shame of the century in their eyes. Part of the media’s brutal war on Palin had/has more to do with the fact they feel protective of Obama. I believe if some boring John Kerry type liberal were running, people wouldn’t have been AS vicious and inhumane towards Palin.
Not only that, but Obama himself is counting on his second term in order to fully unleash the agenda he really wants to, which includes doing things like repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” for starters. When I tell people not to underestimate Palin—I mean more in terms of her intelligence, her depth, and her capacity to be a great leader.
If there’s one person I have NOT underestimated since *2004* it’s Barack Obama. I remember all the debates I had with people who were saying things like “hillary has it in the bag” and “nobody can beat the Clinton machine” or nonsense like “people won’t vote for a black candidate.”
Obama knows how to win and manipulate—and it doesn’t hurt that he has the media as his campaign team and a bunch of billionaires supporting him. And even if Obama disappoints the electorate these next few years, liberals will definitely step up their game to make sure Palin won’t be the replacement.
I guess you can say I underestimate the American people’s capacity to do the right thing. I hope I’m wrong!
Ultimately it’s God’s decision who wins and loses elections. :) Nothing exists outside His control and I take great comfort in that.
As for your question regarding Eric Cantor’s Judaism—well it definitely has nowhere near the stigma that Mormonism does. And some American “Evangelicals” are obsessed with militaristically defending Israel—even to Unbiblical proporitions. I personally would have more respect for a Jew who actually BELIEVES the Old Testament over a cultural Jew like 99% of the ones I know.
I so far am not a fan of Cantor. I don’t like the vibes I get from him. He’s too Romney-like. I also am turned off by the fact that 1) neither of them have ever served in the military or have children who have and 2) their wealth. Bobby Jindal may not be a veteran, but you can tell he has a true heart for America and an understanding of the meaning of “sacrifice” because of his family’s humble background and story. Romney and Cantor...just seem like your average CEO and lawyer.
“The Democrats I’ve talked to here in MO think Palin is a moron...”
Magritte, does your screen name come from the artist? I wouldn’t put Magritte in the same category as some other creators of postmodern insults to humanity—but I would liken Palin to a rare, beautiful piece of art in a postmodern, abstract art collection. People raised on vomit-that-passes-as-art don’t know what to do with it or how to handle REAL art. So they dismiss it and bash it, all the while being completely fascinated by it.
And maybe that’s why I’m so defensive of Palin—because she sheds light on all that’s wrong in our deluded culture. As a woman, it meant a lot to have someone like her “represent” me, considering how much my sex has been degraded in our culture.
Anyhow, the reason why your Democrat friends think she’s a moron is because you might possibly kinda-sorta agree with them to some degree and have failed to adequately defend her. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to do simple research: her record is quite thorough and impressive and included more foreign policy experience than Obama had. Alaska is not a piece of dirt, it is a fascinating state that is especially relevant now considering the debate over things like energy policy and climate change. If you look at some of her old interviews as governor or even read her book, you’ll see she’s not folksy dimwit—but is actually quite thoughtful and yes, WELL-READ (especially in US History)...
People like to creative alternate universes for themselves to suit their own appetites. Included in that alternative universe is a false Palin caricature of their own making based on their own lies. * Also included in that false universe are even bigger lies and ideas: that man can change the weather for example, or that humans descended from monkeys, or that a precious work of God is a mere “fetus” to be disposed of. It’s an ugly pattern isn’t it?
I have no idea what you read in the material posted to this thread, but I am certain that I mentioned FOREIGN students several times.
I'm not a lawyer, so direct your questions elsewhere, please.
