It is a shame that your thread has already been hijacked by poor misled souls who feel that the suffering of another human being is less important than exploiting an opportunity to express their contempt for any notion of station. In their eagerness to tarnish the image anyone who does not fall into the lowest common denominator, they have neglected the very point that she was, herself, of common origin. That smacks of class envy.

If anything, her life's lesson should be that her rank is a greater burden to her than to her people. I have always felt that society is harmed little, if any, by these elevations, and that we are all likely somewhat improved by their very example. But our sentiments on this matter are all likely genetically predetermined.

I, for one, will pray for her.

She had no idea what she was getting into. She thought she knew, but she didn't. Now she is paying. I've always felt bad for her.
