“Adjustment disorder”??
This looks like a job for Gamera.
It’s stressful being a princess?!?!
“This looks like a job for Gamera.”
Seven, I thought you might dig this!
PING
This has happened to A LOT of them. I would say they really are prisoners. The Imperial Household Agency basically dictates their every movement.
You would just not BELIEVE how incredibly opressed their lives are —NOTHING like the life of Diana, with her sneaking out, having affairs...NONE of that stuff.
It is flamboyantly scripted, with all the spontanaeity of high mass at St. Anthony’s.
Being a royal in Japan means they tell you how and when you cut your hair....a million, zillion things.
The chicks USUALLY go nuts, yep.
Sounds like fun!/s
Maybe she is suffering from Tiger withdrawal. I mean, the guy got around.
This is Princess Masako, whom you basically never see. I don't know where this photo came from --she never comes out.
She had been a commoner. The Prince told her, "I'll protect you with all my power" --something completely ridiculous cuz he doesn't have any, not then, not now, and not in 100 years.
Her life is hell, and she, too, was said to have gone nuts.
OMG that too rich for material ROFL
Did any Japanese royal ever tell Imperial Family household go f**** themselves their courtiers
I would
Yet she managed to dress appropriately with class and dignity. All the cameras and attendants in the world (not to mention global shopping trips) aren't enough to help the bride of Beelzobama. Can't we just borrow the princess and make the FLOTUS someone we basically never see?
OR maybe Japanese males are wusses now
According to UK Times ladies in Japan want good ole days

If you ever make a mistake they make you commit seppuku.
That’s what they’re calling it. It usually lasts only for six months and she’s had something wrong with her for the past five years, diagnosed during 2004 I think.
In all frankness, I think her subjects have more reason to feel stressed out or sick.
Absolutely. Her mother-in-law knows this all too well. This may well be the last generation of women willing to marry into the royal family. At least I hope so!
Ever since we heard about her; she has been fighting stress.
If anything, her life's lesson should be that her rank is a greater burden to her than to her people. I have always felt that society is harmed little, if any, by these elevations, and that we are all likely somewhat improved by their very example. But our sentiments on this matter are all likely genetically predetermined.
I, for one, will pray for her.
The Crysanthemum Throne demands a male heir. Masako had difficulty conceiving and then produced a daughter, which was very stressful to her.
Her husband’s younger brother already had 2 daughters, and so about 2-3 years ago, the younger brother and his wife decided to try for another child and they had a son, who is now the heir apparent to the throne after the current Crown Prince. In other words, the nephew will become the emperor eventually. Current law insists on a male, and without a male the monarchy ends.
