Revkin was a supreme enabler of the AGW crowd. Fire got too hot apparently, as he crossed the line from reporter to liberal cheerleader.

The NYT just announced another spate of layoffs. Maybe making one’s self expendable there is a very bad thing right now.

Can someone point me to the actual statement about Revkin. I can’t find it at the link.

I heard a good one last night -
those who are pointing out the fraud of the global warming data
“just want to preserve the status quo”.
This kind of points out the mindset of the left - they HATE America the way it is, and want it destroyed completely in the hopes that it will be rebuilt more to their liking.
“Climate Change” is just a vehicle to get there.

I am a longtime CAGW skeptic. Andy Revkin is, as far as I can tell, openly pro-CAGW. It is true that he is in contact with the rathe runpleasant people at RealCLimate, UEA CRU, Sthe Sierra Club etc. But he is also in contact with CHristie, the Pielkes, Lindzen, etc. It is after all hos job. Mr Revkin is far more fair and balanced than many other environmental commentators in the MSM - Richard Black at the BBC, for example, is a national embarrassment. Andy Revkin, for example, was very open and friendly towards Steve McIntyre who debunked and continues to debunk the iconic IPCC Hockey Stick and related misrepresentations of climate science research findings. It is juvenile and uncivilized to berate someone simply because they different opinions to your own.
I personally wish Andy well if he is leaving the NYT. I fear his replacement at NYT may be far less amenable to reason and far less diligent in researching environmental issues.
