The US Military told Obama that they would revolt unless they could expand their reach into Pakistan. There is an underground revolt against Obama in the military though you won’t see it in the MSM.
If you read between the lines of items coming out of Afghanistan from American soldiers, you can see that they hate the Appeaser in Chief and will do anything they can to win (despite PC Rules of Engagement which are getting our guys killed, esp. after the ambush at Wanat).
Obama would have been shot for treason if he hadn’t signed on to any expanded Predator use. It has come that close to an open military revolt.
Trust me. Military advisor Jones and JCS Casey have their jobs on the line, and they will be ousted by those directly below them if they screw up again. The falling ax is in a raised position and if there is another deadly screw-up in Iraq or Afghanistan, or another Ft. Hood, heads will roll and pensions pissed out the door.

It's good to hear that somebody in the current administration has grasped the fact that we've been without a diplomatic component to this war since last January. The enemy aren't stupid - if we offer them a sanctuary they're going to take it. And there is no real compelling reason other than sanctuary for either Zawahiri or bin Laden to be in the area. Find them, fix them, destroy them. Apologize later.
