Why Are We Tiring of Obama?
Pajamas Media ^ | Dec. 10 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 12/10/2009 3:19:01 PM PST by AJKauf

I know Bush had his own list of catastrophes; other Presidents did as well. Again, my point is not trying to adjudicate relative culpability, but rather just to remind us all how and why Obama dived over 20 points in the polls in just 11 months—and his speeches transformed from inspirational to caricatures.

In short, taken together, after nearly a year, these fissures have nearly ruined the once pretty texture of the Obama administration, and almost rendered it incapable of effective governance.

Here is a random selection. I provide no chronology or theme. Nor do I judge the relative importance of any one incident. The point, again, is only that each was a fissure, some small, some major—all were glued over. The result is that now the public understands that its china presidency is fragile and held together by mere glue.

Here it goes:

Constant apologies abroad for everything from slavery to Hiroshima

Bows to Saudi royalty, the Japanese emperor, and Chinese autocrats

The on-again/off-again Guantanamo shut-down mess

The fight with the former CIA directors

The public show trial of Khalid Sheik Mohammed

The reach out to Ahmadinejad Castro, Chavez, and assorted thugs....

I will add these 4 to the list:

1) Telling Republicans that he doesn’t want to hear from the people who made this mess
2) Using his justice Dept. to get the black panthers off from the voter intimidation on election day
3) Holder saying we are a nation of cowards
4) Being unable to account for where stimulus money went and what jobs were created and being caught reporting fraudulent numbers

I’m sure “some” liberals know that the suggestions for improving the economy and job creation by the Republicans would work - but they dig their heels in and refuse to consider them or implement them becuase it would PROVE THAT THEIR SUGGESTIONS ARE WRONG! AND LIBERALS WON’T EVER ADMIT TO BEING WRONG! They would rather throw all of us under the bus then admit the RIGHT was RIGHT.

Thanks for all the pings.

“Why Are We Tiring of Obama?”

The sub-question is why are blacks not tiring of him?

(Yes, I know why, but it bears mentioning.)

And list arrogance, chutzpah, forgets American heritage except in his Oslo speech which he used to stop cratering poll numbers, appointment of radical leftists as czars, having been such a global hero that Indonesia errects a statue of him as an 8 yr. old. LOL And seeing him on TV, media outlets 24/7 because he is historic. Frankly, I am sick of all of this because he is the most radical leftist socialist pacifist as Prez in the history of the USA. And next to Carter and Harding, the worst Prez in our history.

“He is not interested in us. . .”

I feel exactly that—Obama is not interested in the slightest in the things that interest me and concern me. I am as different from him as it is possible to be.

[Arne Duncan (his sec of Education) is interested in something I am (education), but I can’t see how the King of Chicago schools can make anything any better.]

It makes me sad; I can’t wait for Obama’s term to be over.

Great graphic. And the man behind the curtain to whom we are supposed to pay no attention is George Soros.

[Remember Chickenman?]

I never heard of Chickenman. Was the radioshow something that only aired in the northeast? My daughter said she never heard of him either.

Tired? I’m not “tired of him”, I am disgusted ny him and wonder when he will resign for the good of America. This moron is a TOTAL loser. His family hangers-ons are sucking up tax payers money as they have “moved on up”. Disgusting.

Did you click on the link about Chickenman. Some info there. At night “back in the day”, I’d dial in CKLW out of Detroit and enjoy Chickenman episodes coming to me across the breadth of Lake Erie. It was really a hoot.
