My son's name is Benjamin, he has run a fever for 7 days, my wife just called, they did a chest x-ray, he has a touch of pnumeonia they said, they gave him amoxicillian. I have had a very bad feeling about this ever since he got sick, he is 8 years old and just the greatest little boy.
Please lift him up to the Lord, I am just worried terribly now.
Thank you

I am sorry to hear of your son’s illness. I have prayed for a quick and complete recovery for Benjamin, and will continue to do so. Please keep us updated on how he is doing.
My heart goes out to you, and my prayers go up to God for your boy.
He’ll be OK, but make sure you really trust the pediatrician he is seeing. It really matters what doc you have. I don’t know where you live, but make sure you have an experienced board certified pediatrician who is appropriately aggressive and who explains everything to you. If you’re really worried, then maybe they should admit him, at least until they are confident that they have everything under control. Is he short of breath? Do you know if his oxygen saturation is normal?

Many prayers on the way.
I know how you feel.. Relax and trust in prayer. All of us here have Ben on our minds this morning.

This is very similar to what happened to my 9 year old a couple of months ago. Even though she was running the fever she was in good spirits and we were surprised to learn that she had pneumonia.
But fear not, the antibiotics will clean it right up. We did a 5 day course of Amoxycillin. Kids this age are remarkably resilient.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Prayer up for Benjamin and you. Stay strong.
Benjamin will definitely be in my prayers (as well as you). Make sure they are checking his blood oxygen levels. If they don’t, insist upon it.
Your son is in my prayers.
Thank you all so much, I just had to duck into an empty office and cry, I cannot lose him, I’m so afraid, it really means so much to me to know you guys are praying and your stories of similair experiences and recovery are comforting. They gave him a 10 day course of Amoxicillian and the doctor said the fever should be gone in 48 hours, I am hoping and praying this is as far as this goes.
Again, thank you all so much ...
