For several years as uneducated sycophants in the media gushed and fawned over every utterance from former Vice President Al Gore, NewsBusters has informed readers of just how absurd the junk science he's peddling really is.

Last Thursday, NBC "Tonight Show" viewers got a perfect example of how the Nobel Laureate basically makes things up, and that his poor grades in college were quite an indicator of just how little he understands about science.

So egregious was his departure from reality that the following clip should be mandatory viewing for all his fans in the media who seem to be just as scientifically-challenged (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, h/t Hot Air):

Gore is off by three orders of magnitude. If he had any scientific credibility (which he doesn’t IMO), this should put an end to it. Sadly, I don’t think this will matter at all to his deluded idiot followers.

Science isn’t his strong suit.

Seems I read somewhere a few months ago that he took two science classes in college, got a C in one and a D in the other. And he probably benefited from generous grading because of his father's standing.

Only a liberal could take him serious on his Global Warming Climate Change con.

I believe you're right about Gore's grades - and the "D" was in the class by the man who originally came up with the idea of global warming - and later denounced it...

On the other hand Gore got an “A” in Hysterical Political Rants 101. In his highly mathematical mind, that averages out to an “A-” for the three classes.
