I've been considering this point for awhile now and I am wondering if this is what we should be doing? I mean, doesn't it play directly into their hands? Isn't that exactly what their agenda has been driving at for years?
Go green, get off the grid with solar or wind. Go local, eat locally grown...preferably organic. Stop driving, bike, walk, scooter.
I'm not saying you are wrong I am just pointing out they have been pushing for that direction.
Starve the beast, going galt, or whatever we call it, it seems like we're playing into their agenda at times. No, I don't have another answer or option. I am just wondering if we're not falling into their trap?
I watched Pat Cauddel on Beck last night and he said it plain and simple. The people have had enough.
Just heard the WH Economic Advisor said that if Congress doesn’t act on the EPA requirements...the WH will use COMMAND AND CONTROL ACTIONS.

What exactly does command and control mean?
No, but we can punish (tax) those that grow plants.
Off the top of my head, a couple other common things that involve CO2-
My MIG welder has a CO2 bottle, as does every soda fountain. So do beer taps for that matter. Any process that uses yeast gives off quite a bit of CO2. So they can tax bread and the production of alcohol also. I'm sure there are many, many more.

That's why we LEGALLY avoid all taxes.
If you buy "junk", you pay consumer taxes.
If you drive excessively, you pay gas taxes.
If you smoke - tobacco taxes.
If you eat prepared foods - taxes.
Soda? Taxes.
Working overtime - taxes.
Why pay taxes every week? Why not bank that cash and deny the government the interest on that money they need so badly? Keep the interest for yourself instead.
The key is to not buy, cook your own food, stop smoking or cut back, drive less, etc. Avoid anything with an attached tax like a PLAGUE. Make it a life style choice.
If EVERYONE were to start doing this, the tax revenue for the politicians would be cut in half - at least, and the government is already broke. This is why they're taking over everything. They need to siphon money out of health care, banks, and the environment. Anything they can. The democrat base, and leaders around the world, have an insatiable apatite. They want MONEY - big time. Don't give it to them.

Nope. Alinski said to "use" something like the environment (something everyone would agree on - like health?) to get everyone to go along with the Marxist Revolution. They could care less about Mother earth. It's all a tool.
If everyone were to do as they say, there would be no tax revenue. Without tax revenue, no socialism. If everyone were to go back to the soil, there would be no need for a big government. People would be self sufficient. That's the LAST thing they want.
I am not following you. I admire the very idea of any solution at this juncture but we all HAVE to work. Taxes are automatically taken out of our paycheck. This alone will feed the beast!!!
Even thought SS will be broke in 2010 and we are all up the creek without a paddle. The bottom line is Obama will control everything. We will be in pure communism and then shortly after global communism. All under the false guise of global warming.

P.S. what I meant by ‘I am not following you’ was I don’t get what you are saying as it is too late to cut off the beast and hide. The beast is in full power and control.
I'm not saying everyone HAS to give up their lifestyle. Some are just willing to give up more than others to kill that beast. AVOIDING taxes, as much as possible, helps. Every penny counts. Every soda you DO NOT drink takes food away from the beast. Every time you do all your driving in one trip denies the beast it's extra gas tax. Stop buying junk. You don't need all those dust collectors anyway.
See? It's up to you how far you're personally willing to go to starve the politicians. I, for one, have made self sufficiency a hobby - or more of an obsession. I'm not paying for any more of this crap than I absolutely have to.
Most people work, but if you claim more dependents than you actually have on your taxes, then you can get your weekly tax deductions down to 0. Make sure you bank the extra money, though, because what you owe will still be due at the end of the year. This way, YOU collect a little interest, but the politicians get NONE.
Think "No" when it comes to taxes. Be creative.

What? If I claim 6 exemptions and only have two I will STILL have to pay taxes.
All of what you say is helpful but Im not going to live like a refugee. Self reliance and survival is good but the beast will not go away.

The democrats can defund the EPA at any time. If anything hurts business, it's Oboma and the democrats. It's up to them. The rest is moot.
It WILL be the democrats fault. No excuses.
