Well, does that mean that Nelson will vote “no” on the floor? We will see. It also makes Olympia Snowe, and her evil twin sister Collins, all the more important.

The vote was to table the amendment which in effect kills the bill. Snowe and Collins vote to table.

This may be good news - if it’s enough to keep the bill from passing. Some in the Senate supposedly hold that issue as a make or break one. God willing it’s true!! I don’t care how it goes down as long as it dies!!!!!! KILL THE BILL!!!!

"Motion to Table" passed 54-45. No opportunity to filibuster a motion to table, as it is not debatable.

DEMs who opposed tabling were Bayh, Casey, Conrad, Dorgan, Kaufman, Nelson (NE), and Pryor.

They tabled the amendment. Senator Nelson gets political cover and the bill goes on.

Question: Do we want the anti-abortion amendment in the bill if it means the Health Care will pass with it and fail without it?

Good.

If we had a abortion funding prohibition in the Senate, the reconciled bill might still not have contained an abortion prohibition.

If we had an abortion funding prohibition even in the final
bill, the Dims would have made a loophole when the final rules are made. Remember Sibelius has a great deal of latitude here.

Now, let’s pray that the bill dies here. This is the surest way to stop abortion funding.

Even if the Senate bill makes it out, it will be harder to reconcile with the House bill and Stupak’s amendment. The bishops and pro-life movement will help us. The bill might die at this stage.

Let’s hope that the Republicans are not hoodwinked by the bait and switch tactic of enlarging Medicare and Medicaid as a way of jettisoning the toxic public option. This will also kill private health insurance as the pool shrinks.

If we loose everything, we will have more allies and can work on state nullification.

Just kill the whole damnable idea of government running anyone's health care. Period.

Anything won by "moderates" will be negated by Hussein's executive orders and the courts!

Liberal behaviour is not difficult to understand: what they don't get via legislation is instituted by a perversion of the Constitution via judges. Ergo, SCOTUS in 1973 found a Constitutional right to abort a human life--so the liberal judges will therefore find ANY GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM WILL HAVE TO HAVE ABORTION.

Cut the crap: the entire idea of the feds running health care is dangerous.
