"All three voted yea so I wouldn't put too much faith in what Lieberman threatens. "

Yes, but it's no secret that Lieberman is a proud pro-abortionist. That vote keeps the militant femi-nazis off his case when he stands for reelection again. Lieberman's problem isn't with this amendment, it's with the public option, as it exists in the bill today, as well as the taxes and the cost.

Question: Do we want the anti-abortion amendment in the bill if it means the Health Care will pass with it and fail without it?

Did anyone really expect a different outcome? We have been sold down the river again.

"except in the case where a woman suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness that would, as certified by a physician, place the woman in danger of death unless an abortion is performed, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself, or unless the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape or incest."

Anyone who thinks THAT amorphous piece of crap would block abortions has rocks in their heads...the willing doctors (like TILLER) would come crawling out and testifying that if the procedure wasn't performed, the mother MIGHT die, etc, bullshitter's bullshit...it's all theater, anyway...

AND NOW WE HAVE GIVEN THEM THE FIELD BECAUSE WE ARE ARGUING ABOUT INCLUSION OF ABORTION, WHICH IS PRETTY MUCH CONCEDING THAT THE BILL IS GOING TO PASS...

Way to keep your eye on the ball, Pubs... IT'S ABOUT KILLING THE BILL, YOU MORONS, NOT NEGOTIATING YOUR SURRENDER...

Good.

If we had a abortion funding prohibition in the Senate, the reconciled bill might still not have contained an abortion prohibition.

If we had an abortion funding prohibition even in the final
bill, the Dims would have made a loophole when the final rules are made. Remember Sibelius has a great deal of latitude here.

Now, let’s pray that the bill dies here. This is the surest way to stop abortion funding.

Even if the Senate bill makes it out, it will be harder to reconcile with the House bill and Stupak’s amendment. The bishops and pro-life movement will help us. The bill might die at this stage.

Let’s hope that the Republicans are not hoodwinked by the bait and switch tactic of enlarging Medicare and Medicaid as a way of jettisoning the toxic public option. This will also kill private health insurance as the pool shrinks.

If we loose everything, we will have more allies and can work on state nullification.

Remember there is no such thing as a conservative democrat...never, ever trust them especially when they’re being threatened by Obama.

The party of death including the two disgusting whores, snow and collins, may one day meet the fate of the thing they love most.

Oh True Rebellion, we are waiting on you...

Just kill the whole damnable idea of government running anyone's health care. Period.

Anything won by "moderates" will be negated by Hussein's executive orders and the courts!

Liberal behaviour is not difficult to understand: what they don't get via legislation is instituted by a perversion of the Constitution via judges. Ergo, SCOTUS in 1973 found a Constitutional right to abort a human life--so the liberal judges will therefore find ANY GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM WILL HAVE TO HAVE ABORTION.

Cut the crap: the entire idea of the feds running health care is dangerous.

IMO, a democrat is a democrat is a democrat.

I’d never count on any democrat to do the right thing.

How many times have we heard that HIS presidency depends on the passage of a damn health care bill?

I wish all of the House Republicans would have followed Shaddeg’s lead and voted PRESENT instead og giving Stupak his amendment.

The damn bill would have died in the House, PROVIDED the blue dogs remained true blue.

We aren’t called the stupid party for nothing.

He and Reid hate each other. He might vote no just for that. The fact that he's from a state with a lot of insurance companies, just gives him additional motivation to vote no.

That's what I'm hoping... Joe Lieberman will have at least some consideration for the many insurance jobs in Connecticut and vote NO on this turkey.

What say you, Connecticut FReepers?

“Public Option AND Free abortions on demand. If this doesn’t sink it, nothing will.”

I am beginning to think the latter-NOTHING will sink it. The dems don’t care-pushing socialism onto the American public has been their goal for 40 years or so now.

Don’t kid yourselves, folks. This atrocity is a done deal, and the RATS could not care less what the sheeple really want. Remember, it is not about healthcare; it is about unleashing unbridled power by the central government.
