Climate Chief Dismisses E-Mail Outrage

(CNN) -- One of the world's leading authorities on climate change has dismissed the contents of controversial e-mails leaked from the University of East Anglia as nothing more than friends and colleagues "letting off steam."

"Well, I can tell you, privately when I talk to my friends, I use language much worse than that. This was purely private communications between friends, between, colleagues, they were letting off steam. I think we should see it as nothing more than that," Rajendra Pachauri, the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) told CNN.

In late November, a substantial file including more than 1,000 e-mails either sent from or to members of the University's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) in eastern England were allegedly hacked and leaked on the Internet.

They contained language seized upon by climate skeptics who say they offer evidence that scientists have manipulated climate data to exaggerate the threat of global warming.

Mr. Rajendra Pachauri needs to take a basic course in English and Comprehension. Manipulating key data to negate conclusions contrary to a pre-ordained belief is fraud not "letting off steam"

Greenhouse warming has been debunked over and over again for years. It is an absurd theory on the face of it. This exposure of the e-mails and falsified data are good evidence in and of themselves of the nature of the scam but the main good they will do is bring to light years of research that blow holes in the theory itself.

Since you brought it up, Watergate wasn't Watergate at first. No newspapers(even the Washington Post)thought a “second rate” burglary would lead to the Oval Office and the resignation of a president.

If this had happened twenty years ago this might be overlooked by the “prestige” press but not by the Internet and cable news like Fox.

If there is more to be revealed(and I believe) will grow like a snowball as it continues.....
