Look, its blackmail, a way of saying to Congress: either you do cap-and-trade or were gonna do cap, no trade. Were gonna regulate every aspect of American life. This is if the EPA now has in its power perhaps it will when acted over time to intrude into every aspect of American life."
Their is another way, at least for part of the Country.
"The principle for which we contended is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form"
- Jefferson Davis President of the Confederate States of America
Resist. Resist. Resist. You’re smart...resist!
I dunno, tar kettles don't come with EPA stickers.
It'd sure be interesting to see thousands of these things converge on D.C. Handy the way many of them have trailer wheels... practically tailor-made for dispensing boiling-hot justice wherever it may be needed.
I’m for that, too! Dump the bureaucracies - EPA, NEA, HHS, Homeland Security... DOE, there’s more, I just can’t name them all now...
Ted Nugent was rallying on this point last year...His question for the candidates was: “which 3 governement agencies would you abolish on your first day in office? And which 3 would you abolish on your second day? 3rd?” You get the idea.
I’m in. I stand with the red states. LOL
Methinks that Charles overestimates the spine of politicians....and the sheeple they represent.
Exhale, go to jail!
Not picking on you but I see a similar refrain posted all over Free Republic. Exactly how accurate is this? How many people will actually pick up guns and go fight? Where would they go? Whom would they shoot? I'm sitting here in Atlanta, GA. getting more pissed off by the day. Where do I go with my gun?
I think the way a "revolution" happens is that some state finally says "enough". We're going to enforce the 10th amendment and uphold our sovereignty. Others will follow and we'll have a repeat of the Civil War. Then it gets interesting... But what state will do it? Who goes first?
You have the solution. Give up on Washington, that way is hopeless. We need to protest and petition our state legislatures for relief.
Me thinks they over reach.
Me thinks there will be trouble in the streets.
You think this is funny? I would say the chances of CWII are better than 50/50 at this point.
not funny. I am serious
Gee....why do you think that is? Maybe I'm just getting older and cranky, but IMHO the current patch of politicians is the worst we've had in the history of the Republic. While the Civil War a (huge) failing of the political process, but at least the leadership of each side wasn't busy trying to sell out its people. GW is such a blatent, obvious scam, its breathtaking. But even more breathtaking are the number of people who are letting it happen by not doing their jobs or even speaking out.
I wonder about that all the time myself. I would suggest either selecting an accountable soft target like the Broadcast Media, or quietly destroying the infrastructure as more practical.
You are going to do what with a gun? Shoot the local dogcatcher? You cannot get near any of the people who deserve it.
March on Congress? As in Tienamen Square?
In the town hall meetings we saw how quickly they run and hide.
Well Jersey, your heart may be in the right place but you are in enemy territory FRiend.
Absolutely this is what it is...this is the first I have seen an influential, somewhat mainstream pundit call it that. It seems people are FINALLY catching on to what is at stake. I hope it isn’t too late.
This is still a Republic. The Federal Govt. is not listening. Go down a notch, your state will listen. Each state(s) could be sovereign, if you got the stomach for it.
