Those are some really shitty pictures. Dark, tilted, “edgy” crap, the photojournalistic equivalent of the shaky hand-held camera that TV stations now use to give you the impression that you are there. I hate that shit. Sorry for the bad language but I just hate that pretentious gimmicky shit.
We have dear friends at church, a mom & 2 children, from Scotland, who have been here a number of years and she's been working through the process of getting her citizenship...(she has done everything they ask of her, even going through school for nursing)....
this is a wonderful family of high moral standards....
..and yet, as of December, she loses all hope of remaining.
She will have to return to Scotland.....the process is too long and her green card is expiring.
Of course she will follow the rules...(as so many millions don't!!)....but she will.
She would have been a credit to our country.
This is the travesty that the federal government has created over the years. Her family will be in my prayers.
The ‘rats hate those that play by the rules and always award those that don’t.

I don't get it
My mother is from Canada and came to the States when she married my dad in 1956. she's lived in the US for over 50 years, though she has never became a citizen, she did apply for permanent resadency. I'm not entirely sure how that works but she has to carry her card every where she goes.
Now, this is where I'm confused, if my mom never had to return to Canada after a certian number of years, why does your friend have to go back to Scotland? Why can't she renew her visa and greencard or apply for a permanent residency until she can gain citizenship?

My Scottish friend came here with her husband (also a Scot).... he left her & married an American citizen...
She has tried to remain here legally & applied for citizenship...
..but while the millions of illegals are getting free healthcare, breaking laws , demanding rights....
..she does everything by the book, but no doubt, will lose all hope after the first of the year or before.
She is a lovely woman, and has 2 great kids....a Christian woman

Your friend's husbans was a rat for leaving her like he did.
What she should do is find someone who will sponsor her and her children then reapply for permanent residency so she can continue to stay in the country while working on getting her citizenship. It might take her a while longer but I fear if she returns to her homeland it will take even loner if ever as she woluld probably have to start from scratch
