My Scottish friend came here with her husband (also a Scot).... he left her & married an American citizen...
She has tried to remain here legally & applied for citizenship...
..but while the millions of illegals are getting free healthcare, breaking laws , demanding rights....
..she does everything by the book, but no doubt, will lose all hope after the first of the year or before.
She is a lovely woman, and has 2 great kids....a Christian woman
Your friend's husbans was a rat for leaving her like he did.
What she should do is find someone who will sponsor her and her children then reapply for permanent residency so she can continue to stay in the country while working on getting her citizenship. It might take her a while longer but I fear if she returns to her homeland it will take even loner if ever as she woluld probably have to start from scratch
