"We're simply trying to be consistent with the will of God as we perceive it," But not as He revealed it. Putting one's perceptions over that of the Word of God is quite arrogant it seems to me.

No way would Quakers go for gay marriage.
Shakers, maybe.

These dumbasses p*ss on the grave of William Penn and other great leaders in their movement. The gay mafia does not seek tolerance or even equality. They seek nothing less than to redefine the 6000 year old institution of marriage to the extent that it no longer has meaning. They seek to overthrow the Bible and the Word of God and to make their perverted facade of religion into the
de facto state religion.
They can pack all the fudge they want, perform all the faux marriages they want and turn a large portion of society into a modern day Sodom.
But they will not overthrow God, our Heavenly Father and ruler of the universe, nor shall they escape the consequences of their perverted behavior. They can only force the rest of us to share in these consequences if we are willing to go along with them.

The shakers were a celibate religious sect. Men and women lived a communal life in seperate dormitorys. If any of them were married it was before they joined the church. As far as I know they never performed weddings. The shaker religion is virtually nonexistent today.

No way would Quakers go for gay marriage. Shakers, maybe. Absolutely not Shakers. They are sworn to celibacy and are a community of definitely unmarried individuals. Very devout, from what I've learned of them, and cleave unswervingly to the clear teachings of Christ. They are also very industrious and skillful. I wish they were not on the decline, if not already extinct in their purest form.

"No way would Quakers go for gay marriage."
All liberal religions eventually oppose Biblical teachings. It's inevitable.

No way would Quakers go for gay marriage. My thought too.
I also never imagined the Mennonites would go for gay marrage either, but I had to attend a funeral in The Rainbow Mennonite Church of Kansas City, and they weren't celibrating the Biblical rainbow.
I was raised Mennonite, and it's stunning how far they've drifted in the 20 years since I left them.
Ninty percent of churches today aren't following the Christian doctrine.

They are also very industrious and skillful. I wish they were not on the decline, if not already extinct in their purest form.It was decided that it was against human nature to forbid procreation so the adoption of children by Shakers was outlawed. The survive only through conversions and I think there is only 1 community left, somewhere in Maine.

Beware of the false teaching...many will come in His Name...Marriage is a Covenant, given by G-d, between a man and a woman. These Quakers have chosen their own way...
To: Balding_Eagle
“Ninty percent of churches today aren’t following the Christian doctrine.”
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [see John 6:29] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Jesus, Matthew 7:21
Hell will be full of pious and active religionists who are nevertheless workers of iniquity. They do not believe in the one sent by the Father, therefore they are unjustified. Being unjustified even their religious works are works of iniquity for which they will be damned.

St. Paul, Minn. A group of Twin Cities Quakers has decided to stop signing marriage certificates for opposite-sex couples until the state legalizes gay marriage.I thought that Quakers actually read the bible. I guess that they have their village idiots, too.
