For the record, this post is being posted in News/Activism by the express permission of Jim Robinson, founder and owner of Free Republic:

“Debate on church doctrine and or threads on specific religious matters may be best posted in the religion forum, but the defense of religious freedom, especially against those who wish to deprive us of same belongs front and center on FR....They banned God and prayer and creationism from public schools and public places, but I’ll be damned if they’re gonna ban Him or it from FR!”

Do we have to talk about the Flintstones again?

To your credit, last time you admitted your position is based on assumptions, and not on evidence.

As for people being scientists or not? I ask the question, what exactly is a scientist anyway? Many quacks that claim to be scientists, I mean the theory of evolution is a bunch of nonsense, same so called scientists that believe that, also believe in global warming etc.

These quacks believe the world is billions of years old, yet we have only been keeping records for around 200 years in regards to temperatures etc. I have very little respect for much of science, I mean they lose me with the theory of evolution, just to name one. It`s a bunch of nonsense, not to mention it was only a theory in itself.

Henry seems to be an accomplished civil engineer. John seems to be an accomplished civil and geological engineer...

Hold on....are you now saying YOUR scientists are infallible and don't have an agenda to push, no bias, no foredrawn conclusions?

I'll deal with their bogus claims instead of their profiles.....and would match my profile against theirs any day.

Though, they allow BTMS* to pass on the nonsense...so i won't see much of their works.

...but lemme get this straight....all other scientists but yours are fallible and biased......right?

I believe deeply in God and that The Bible supports ~15 billion years of creation and molecular evolution in some, but not all cases.

I’m thankful for them too. For too long Christians felt forced to accept theistic evolution or reject their faith. It was so cool when I first watched a Kent Hovind video and saw that the Bible isn’t wrong.

Junk science is a term used in U.S. political and legal disputes that brands an advocate’s claims about scientific data, research, or analyses as spurious. The term may convey a pejorative connotation that the advocate is driven by political, ideological, financial, or other unscientific motives.

So who is staffing the Erik von Daniken Chair?

I was brought up and taught “millions of years”. Lately, I have seen much evidence to suggest that thousands of years in in fact a possibility. In fact, a more likely possibility than millions of years. Yet, Evos will not even consider the biblical views, thus limiting their ability to find truth. We need to reinvent the adage “Question Authority” to be “QUESTION SCIENCE”. or “Science is NEVER settled”, because you don't know, what you don't know.

I’m guessing their science classes didn’t take.

“according to evos these men are not scientists”

It does not matter what evos say, but with regard to any discussion of “origins” nothing is science; not creationaism, evolution, or “intelligent design.”

I have no truck with any of these so-called “sciences” and have addressed specifically some of the faults of evolution here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2401818/posts?page=132#132

None of these men are scientists when addressing the issue of origins. What they are in other disciplines is irrelevant.
