FBI Highlights Seven-Year Anniversary of the Disappearance of Robert A. Levinson
Reward Still Available for Information Leading to His Safe Location and Return

Public Information Office
On the seventh anniversary of his disappearance from Kish Island, Iran, a reward of up to one million dollars continues to be offered for any information that leads to the safe location and return of Robert A. Levinson.
Mr. Levinson, who will turn 66 on March 10, retired as a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1998. On March 8, 2007, Mr. Levinson traveled to Kish Island, Iran, as a private investigator. He went missing the next day and is now one of the longest-held Americans in history.
The FBI is responsible for investigating crimes committed against U.S. citizens abroad and has been conducting an investigation to locate Mr. Levinson since his disappearance. Two years ago, on the fifth anniversary of his disappearance in March 2012, the FBI announced the one million dollar reward.
Bobs absence over the past seven years has exacted an enormous toll on his family, and we will not waver in our commitment to bringing him home safely to his loved ones and his country, said FBI Director James B. Comey. We continue to request the assistance of our international partners, as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we continue to ask anyone with information regarding Bobs disappearance to contact the FBI.
