Polish Parliament officially condems the verdict of the ECoHR banning the presense of Crosses in classrooms.
The Polish Parliament, Seym, has stood up for the freedom of religion and for the endorsement of the values which belong to common heritage of the nations of Europe. The Seym of Poland rejects the verdict of the European Court of Human Rights banning Crosses in classrooms in Italy and calls the parliaments of the countries belonging to the Council of Europe to reflect on the issue.
The resolution of the 460-seat Polish Parliament was accepted by a huge majority of votes.
Out of 402 MPs present at the voting, 357 MPs voted for the resolution, 40 abstained from voting and 5 MPs were against.
The resolution emphasizes the fact that the Sign of Cross in not only a religious symbol and a testimony of God's love to humans. As far as public affairs are concerned, it also reminds us about the readiness for the ultimate sacrifice for other people and represents the values the respect for dignity of every human being are built upon. It's been reminded that in the past, especially under the rules of Nazi and Communist regimes, the hostile acts against the religion were closely bound to massive violations of human rights and led to discrimination.
The Seym has recalled the words of John Paul II, said in the Polish Parliament in June 1999, that "democracy without values easily turns into an open or hidden totalitarism".
The Polish Parliament has also expressed serious concern about decisions, which aim at the freedom of faith, disdain the rights and feelings of people believing in God and destroy the the social stability. The verdict of the European Court of Human Rights banning the presence of Crosses in Italian classrooms belongs to the mentioned above decisions, says the Polish resolution. [...]

That’s what happens when you let other countries decide what’s best for you.
The nations of the EU should tell this so called court that they have NO justification to make law and then impeach them if they try and be dictators as others in Europe have done in the past.

No one forced Poland to join the EU. They want the EU cash and Ryanair flights. This is how the EU mafia works and everyone knows it.

LOL. Looks like it's really hard to understand why Poland joined the EU. Theoretically speaking, Poland gets more money from the EU than she pays to the common kitty. In fact, the criteria of getting money for perticular projects from the EU are so complicated that Poland is in the red.
The only real reason we voted for the EU was to get away from the grey zone between the West and Russia, and, taking Russia's attitude to Poland into consideration, we did absolutely right.
What else could we do? To count on USA? Turned her back on us long time ago! All that America could do for Poland's security (Bush's administration) was to promise us two batteries of the Patriot missiles on our territory, while Obama reduced that to one INOPERATIONAL battery only for training purposes.
If we were to chose between civilized West, although highly secular, and wild Russia still full of imperial sentiments, we had actually no choice.
But then again, what can a regular American say, when all that America could suffer was Obama’s or Japanese attack on USA. With due respect, the small town of Wielun lost more citizens in the first minute of WWII after Luftwaffe airraid than all victims of WTC.
So, why on Earth, should I tell you about millions of victims of Russian and German aggressors in our history (not only Soviet and Nazis!). Pointless. Beyond comprehension to you.
At some point, everybody breaks a treaty. You can not order a person or society to commit suicide. They, like Honduras, will just have to face whatever sanctions are prompted by breaking it. But at some point, you stop listening to crazy people and tell them NO. Remember, these people are one-worlders who believe in Agenda 21. They want to reduce world population by 85%.

I grew up with a polish lad as my best friend and was welcomed into the family. His parents (refugees from Poland during the war) were great hardworking people. His mother was just about the most attractive woman I ever saw.
At the moment Poland is making more sense than any other European country - and just agreed 600 more troops for Afghanistan.
Oh that the UK had as much common sense....
God bless the Polish people. They are rugged, brave people, who have known hard times and have survived vicious enemies and occupations. They love their country and have a strong belief in God, and I’ll be damned if they will let “outsiders” tell them how they should practice their religion in their country.
More power to you, Poland! May you be an example to us all here in the USA that we must be willing to FIGHT to retain our freedoms...FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
I heard about 2,000 more troops to be sent there. This, at least, is the suggestion of one of the Polish top military commanders who claims that without substantial reinforcement of our contingent, soon it will be impossible to successfully control the area of the Polish zone.
The US government may have, but there are plenty of Americans who support the Polish people. I count myself among them. I'd be disrespecting my Polish grandmother if I didn't.
