Speaking to the conservative talker Rusty Humphries today, Sarah Palin left the door open to speculation about President Obama's birth certificate.
"Would you make the birth certificate an issue if you ran?" she was asked (around 9 minutes into the video above).
"I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue. I don't have a problem with that. I don't know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers," she replied.
"Do you think it's a fair question to be looking at?" Humphries persisted.
"I think it's a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records -- all of that is fair game," Palin said. "The McCain-Palin campaign didn't do a good enough job in that area."
McCain's campaign counsel has said the campaign did look into the birth certificate question and, like every other serious examination, dismissed it.(continued)

Can’t as in it’s not available? Or can’t because it would ruin him?
BC’s are available for each of us. If a genealogist cannot find a BC they go nuts. Adoptive children depend on them even sealed to find their parents. My great grandmother’s BC was found and the records hall had burned down.
He has a BC he does not want anyone to see. If there was nothing there the Hawaii records people would not jumping hoops and lying to hide it.
You've got to be kidding. Not even the birthers at WorldNutDaily believe it's authentic:

And how did Obama travel to Pakistan when Pakistan did not allow Americans into the country?
Others have already debunked this elsewhere on the thread.
And how did Obama get a Fulbright Scholarship when those are not available to American citizens?
Obama never got a Fulbright. That rumor was started by an April fool's hoax.
Don't believe everthing you read online.
That does it! Palin has my vote.
I posted—one post—at LGF asking these questions and got about five replies—most of them really nasty. The next time I tried to log in, about four hours later, I was banned.
I googled for Charles Johnson. He’s gone from a 9/12 “conservative” (i.e., his “conservatism” was entirely emotional and skin-deep) to an Obama Bolshevik. He believes in the AGW fraud, everyone’s a “racist,” Palin’s a moron, etc., etc. I can’t believe this is the guy who exposed the Rather memo.
Anyway, it doesn’t bother me one bit, being banned. There’s nothing at LGF now but Obama Kool-Aid.
Mark Levin talked about the B.C. for more than a minute on Friday night. He said several times he thinks Soetoro is a citizen, but he also asked several times: Why not just put the B.C. out there and make the issue go away?
Of course, one can profess to believe Soetoro is a citizen all one wants, but asking the question only leads people to the only rational answer: He doesn’t because he can’t.
They won’t bash her too much. They have too many listeners/viewers who still don’t know there is any question about Soetoro’s B.C., and they wouldn’t want to wake any of them up.
