Those on FR who keep up their circular arguments against Palin didn’t like her from the beginning.

Most don’t want a woman president so pick at and create non issues so they are not obvious being a misogynist

But she’s not running a campaign now..she’s on a book tour and enjoying the ride.

I have no problem with how she is responding to questions. People are looking for campaign lingo where she is not under that umbrella just yet.

She’s doing fine and frankly I was glad to hear her mention the illegal alien issue. I don’t believe her remarks were intended for documented workers or amnesty issues for as you know there are levels to the immigration issue ..it’s not a matter of either/or.

I believe there was another interview where she talked about this that is clearer - I’m sure someone will post it on this thread, it was probably with Greta.

Energy -> credentials/Alaska -> can contradict McCain.

Illegal immigrants -> no previous record -> can’t contradict.

Not sure what is you don’t understand here. Credentials means she has a proven track record, she had that with energy not with illegal immigration.

Credentials does not equal “ideas”, “positions”, “views” and does not mean her views/ideas are not sound.

You keep using words like lie and flip flop, because you imply she shared MCcain’s position on this.

I’m telling you that she supported the campaign to beat Obama, and she did this as a VP candidate in a campaign taht was already well under way when she joined.

From her direct comments, she supported a path to citizenship in the campaign, and possibly before. You said she shared McCain's position on the issue so as not to contradict him, due to lack of credentials. Your rationale is that she supported a position contrary to her "views" and stated it publicly for political reasons. If her current comments (ideas) contradict her previous comments, how will it not be viewed as a convenient change in positions (flip flop) in the primary or the general election?

If McCain chooses to run again, will she be able to contradict him without those credentials which you say he possesses. Or did she acquire them recently?

I LOVE her answer. I am ready to campaign for her. Getting rid of the illegals is the only hope for my state.

You’re worried about that when the Congress is getting ready to amnesty tens of millions of foreign nationals? Wake up.

If you’re a Palin supporter you better be working to get your candidate to forsake her previously-stated position in favor of amnesty. Because if she’s on the wrong side of this issue after Christmas she will self-immolate. Take it to the bank.

"Close the border."

Subject, verb, definite article.

Out of morbid curiousity alone, mind: which part, specifically, is throwing you...?

Fine. Just don't expect serious people who are concerned with serious matters that will determine the fate of our free republic to take her seriously.

Good night.

If you believe that an amnesty supporter will "close the border" you're naive.

Quit kidding yourself. Each amnesty makes a further mockery of our national sovereignty and the rule of law, and sets the stage for the next wave of illegal immigration.

Are you ready for a hundred million more?

I'll have to read your response tomorrow...

If you believe that an amnesty supporter will "close the border" you're naive.

If you believe that going on record with anything as blunt and unequivocal as "close the border" makes one an amnesty supporter, you're obviously playing by Humpty Dumpty rules. ("When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful voice, "it means just what I choose it to mean.")

Fail. Good night.

You are creating a bogus argument.

AS a person who lives arond 20 miles north of the largest and busiest border crossing in the world I will back Palin’s views all the way.

Perhaps you and your Keyes supporters can go state by state
and round up the over 12 million illegals. Charter planes and fly them back to Mexico. this should take several yrs. and billions of dollars.

In the mean time they are still coming in and guess how.

Just 2am yesterday morning again the Coast Guard and a Blackhawk helicopter stopped a boat with 22 illegals
off the coast of San Diego.
San Diego has a 70 mile coast line and several times a week the illegals are using boats.

Another tunnell was just found at the border with elevator and all.

Eternal vig...I would never imagine anyone on this sight not being very serious about the issues our country faces, nor those citizens of our rebublic equally as much. We are all being affected and most certainly are serious...and you know this.

The urgencey you feel is apparent...as are those requirements you feel are necessary in a canidate. So let that stand and we’ll see how things play out in the weeks ahead.

You have your two note arguments and
make a fool of your self with bogus charges on a
person thinking if you say it enough times the
idiots on FR who can’t think for themselves will
believe you.

PALIN: "Close the border. They're called illegal aliens for a reason. If they're not going to follow the rules, they should not be in our country. Close the border, and get more aggressive about cracking down on illegal aliens."

NONSENSICAL RESPONSE: "... so does that mean she's for amnesty, then -- ?!?"

... and yet, the MSM keeps insisitng that she's the big dummy, somehow. ;)

Well now you are just making it up .... “possibly before”. “Possibly” is making things AFAIC.

“political reasons” is generally correct - but lets be honest - she was a VP candidate on an presidential ticket on a campaign that started well before she joined, and like all conservatives wanted to beat obama (did you?). Can you think of a quicker way of losing then everybody in a campign expressing there own views?

“flip-flop”. I think most people, not you obviously, that palin does not equal McCain are interested in her real positions. I doubt anyone is judging her on following a script, except you.

Have you read her book? She admits she was a team player, keen to know what the script was to help the ticket?

That is what VPs do, or don’t you know?

In other words, the poster that uses the name EternalVigilance is currently the Party Chairman of Alan Keyes's personally created third party, and is determined to stop Governor Palin at all costs, from gaining the Republican nomination.

Well, well, that information certainly brings things into focus. Seems like we have yet another operative from a potential rival candidate on our hands...

As usual, you’ve got nothing but personal attacks. And, as usual, you have no interest in conversing about the core issues our nation faces.

So, ARE you a political operative for Keyes?
