Global warming may require higher dams, stilts (Lame Steam Media doubles down on scare tactics)

With the world losing the battle against global warming so far, experts are warning that humans need to follow nature's example: Adapt or die.

That means elevating buildings, making taller and stronger dams and seawalls, rerouting water systems, restricting certain developments, changing farming practices and ultimately moving people, plants and animals out of harm's way.

Adapting to rising seas and higher temperatures is expected to be a big topic at the U.N. climate-change talks in Copenhagen next week, along with the projected cost — hundreds of billions of dollars, much of it going to countries that cannot afford it.

That adaptation will be a major focus is remarkable in itself. Until the past couple of years, experts avoided talking about adjusting to global warming for fear of sounding fatalistic or causing countries to back off efforts to reduce emissions.

Agreed; what is leaking out of there is drowning us all.

The stilts can come in handy when wading through the BS.

They’re making a big mistake trying to push AGW right now...many people are still unaware of the scandal. By pushing more and more stories they increase the possibility of the information spreading.

Only a suggestion here...but why don’t we get the Democrats all hyper to replace every dam in America...with higher dams? This survey-all-dams project would take up an entire summer and any money invested....would at least employ Americans in the construction trade.

“That means elevating buildings, making taller and stronger dams and seawalls, rerouting water systems, restricting certain developments, changing farming practices and ultimately moving people, plants and animals out of harm’s way. “

True adaptation. We need to control all these things whether it gets warmer or colder. Methinks they are about control regardless of the reason.

Gotta say, I don't know which is worse: the global-warming fake-science peddlers or the journalists who so uncritically publish their hogwash.

The great thing about Climategate is that it is bringing BOTH of these fraudsters down.

Just damn!

This headline from the army of socialist eco-totalitarian progandists would be laughable, were it not for the fact that over 50% of the sheep believe these endless Big Lies.

Hey, I live near the water and got wet. We learned to not keep anything important in our house, like furniture :^)

I told the wife she didn’t need any new stuff.

When you think about it, that’s exactly how we got polar bears 250,000 years ago, brown bears who moved north to hunt plentiful seals. When the seals could see them too easy, they turned white.

Liberals are busy tearing out all the dams. I see no reason they actually want to build them higher.
