A libertarian conservative has declared his plans to "take out Nancy Pelosi" in the 2010 election to stop her from devastating the nation.

John Dennis, a businessman and real-estate investor in California's 8th congressional district, told WND, "I've decided to run because the statist Pelosi agenda will destroy America."

Rep. Pelosi's district covers most of San Francisco, and Democrats have held the seat since 1949. Since first winning the House seat in a 1987 special election, Pelosi, 69, has breezed to re-election 10 times. President Obama received 85 percent of the vote there in 2008.

Anyone mounting a threat to Bela Pelosi is a good thing IMHO. Make her spend money if nothing else, and get an opposing message out somewhat.

I was going to ask how you survive as a conservative in the San Fransisco area but then I remembered I live in Connecticut so who am I to ask that question.

LOL, NOT in San Francisco here. WE are in Riverside. Almost 500 miles to the South. Just above San Diego County line.

We receive requests for donations for Republican candidates from almost all the lower 48 States.

Too funny. We never receive requests from our own local candidates, so we have to look them up to send them contributions for their campaigns.

Other than dem/libs losing their HOR majority, the best way to be rid of peelousi would to wake up the news that the wicked witch of the west was dead. A good hard botix generated stroke would be nice as well.

Can not imagine fruitcake San Fran electing any conservative.

If he runs as a libertarian on a drug-legalization platform, he might actually win in SF. Otherwise, Don Quixote had a better chance with the windmills than this guy has.

She doesn’t have to spend one penny to win reelection in this district. This is close to a 90% Democrat district, and extreme true-believing hard Stalinist left at that.

Ping.

"Is this the challenger who will eject Pelosi?"
John Dennis, a libertarian conservative, is a businessman and real-estate investor in California's 8th Congressional District.

What gives Dennis hope for 2010?

"I think we can build a very sturdy case for taking out Pelosi," he said. "I find most of the people on the left find that she's not their cup of tea. She engages in a lot of class warfare, and there are a lot of folks on the left who are disaffected by her and disaffected with her. We're going to leverage as many of those relationships as we possibly can."
