President Barack Obama ... ... is slated to deliver a prime-time address on Tuesday night in which he'll lay out his plans for the American war in Afghanistan.
The address before the United States Military Academy at West Point on Tuesday night will not only be used to announce the immediate order to deploy roughly 30,000 more troops, but the administration will also use the occasion to convey how it intends to turn the fight over to the Kabul government, the New York Times reported.
But the administration may also face an unforeseen enemy as it lays out its long-awaited plans. And they are loud and they are legion: We're talking about preschoolers and their parents.
That's because ABC-TV was scheduled to present its annual screening of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at 8 p.m. tomorrow night. And we don't know about you, but that show is pretty sacrosanct around our house and not to be trifled with lightly.
A call to the White House may be in order here. We hear it's pretty easy to get through these days ...

Just be sure he doesn't shoot his eye out.
Just saying.
“Just be sure he doesn’t shoot his eye out.”
You should see the lamp I picked out for his Christmas present! :)
The kids and I love to watch Charlie Brown, and Snoopy’s my little boy’s favorite; however, I begrudge no one the right to like or dislike anything (that doesn’t hurt kids & is legal).
I like a lot of the Hallmark shows too. I think “A Dog Named Christmas” will be great.
Someone else already posted this, but The Great Zero needs his own channel — broadcast from Siberia to the *drowning* polar bears — so the rest of us can use the channel blocker.
On second thought, isn’t indecent behavior supposed to go on pay-per-view? With all the tingles running up people’s legs, he should be censored...definitely a better idea! LOL
And now is your chance at redemption:
Girlfriend: Nell
Villain: Snidely Whiplash
Girlfriends real beau: Don’t know
Superior Officer: Not Don’t know

It’s been 40 years since I watch the cartoons. I did watch the movie in the middle of the night about four years ago, but I don’t remember the name.
You’ll see this if you wade through the thread, but my comments aren’t made with the content of his particular show in mind. It’s a general comment on the Peanuts shows I’ve seen over the years. It just doesn’t appeal to me at all. No, it’s worse than that... heh heh heh.
Look, if this has good Christian material in it, you know I’m going to think kids should be exposed to it.
Enjoy...
Hey the SuperBowl is coming up maybe Obama can make sure to schedule a news conference then too! GEEZ is the Whitehouse staff this uncompetent that they don’t check for stuff like this before demanding airtime? I guess this could work in our favor if these preschoolers remember the trauma a democrat subjected them to? LOL
>> For the Charlie Brown fans, sorry folks. Take your little blankey over in the corner and pout.
The real “blankey” is to buy favor with fellow Liberals/Democrats to keep ObamaCare on the table.
Does anyone believe this preemption is anything but to explain away the delayed ‘solemn’ decision to avoid looking week?
On behalf of the little ones, there’s plenty of non-Seasonal content to preempt. But it’s easier to piss on Christmas these days, isn’t it?
I also have all of those except for MR MAGOOS CHRISTMAS CAROL.
My first thought was also Schroeder, but I don’t think it holds up. Schroeder didn’t really seem big on pushing anything off on others.
Peppermint Patty, however...
I forgot to put ‘narcissism’ into the equation. Hmmmmmmmm. Perhaps.
I also like things that are “square.”
Watch it - Sucka !!!
