President Barack Obama ... ... is slated to deliver a prime-time address on Tuesday night in which he'll lay out his plans for the American war in Afghanistan.
The address before the United States Military Academy at West Point on Tuesday night will not only be used to announce the immediate order to deploy roughly 30,000 more troops, but the administration will also use the occasion to convey how it intends to turn the fight over to the Kabul government, the New York Times reported.
But the administration may also face an unforeseen enemy as it lays out its long-awaited plans. And they are loud and they are legion: We're talking about preschoolers and their parents.
That's because ABC-TV was scheduled to present its annual screening of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at 8 p.m. tomorrow night. And we don't know about you, but that show is pretty sacrosanct around our house and not to be trifled with lightly.
A call to the White House may be in order here. We hear it's pretty easy to get through these days ...

“were going to have to change our traditions”.... Michelle Obama
####
Maybe the traditions of YOUR demographic group, you talentless ingrate, but certainly NOT the historically-proven traditions of Western Civilization.
And, trust me, that is the massively toned-down, politically-correct version of it.
I ordered the DVD from Canda Three times.
The first two were intercepted by Customs (aren't you glad you live in a free country?)!
The third time was the charm. Personally delivered by a relative who managed to get it through customs.
I would be happy to provide someone a copy if they know how to make it available on line to anyone who wants it for free.
That would be Dudley Dooright, Eh?
I got SOTS on DVD from somewhere quite a few years back, so I don’t remember from where. Somewhere on the internet.
How do we “change our history”? Do we use the Soviet method of “revisionist history” eliminating some figures from the establishment of this nation and celebrating those who were considered criminals in the 1920s-1970s?
If your DVD is a bootleg, customs may hold it. But since there is no “parallel import” (ignoring the domestic edition to buy the foreign market version), customs needs to F.O., it is outside of their office, no matter what Bubba Clinton tried to do for Big Hollywood in the 1990s.
And yes, Disney DID commercially release Song of the South to home video in the 1980s and 1990s in other countries (UK, Japan, Hong Kong...)
I thought the proto-Mickey was Steamboat Willy.
The Cosby Show is a smug goodie goodie program too.
Thanks! The first one was “different”, LOL. It reminded me of “Fiddler On The Roof” (which I love). The second , the bluegrass, is right up my alley :)
“The Day Without A Christmas Special”, coming to you soon on ABC-Disney.
I wouldn’t say that I like smug or self-righteous. That’s not the same as normality not being sneered at and mocked.
“Those terms are usually just another way of saying that something’s not perverted or depraved and trashy.”

You go, mrsmel!
And the “hip” insult these days of being “squeaky clean” means that you are ...gasp and horrors...heterosexual and monogamous.
I hate this man...I hate him.
Charlie Brown > Barack Obama
I apologize.
Somebody snuck 87 pictures of Obummer onto your post.
I had no idea...
Well then all the “cool kids” will just have to extend their tolerance to us white bread, vanilla, squeaky clean squares LOL.
Seriously, I get so tired of plain old decency being sneered at.
Well howdy there Scrooge.
No TV signal and I have it on DVD.. yay me :)
