It was billed as a bus tour, but Sarah Palin's travels across the country to promote her new book have featured several flights on an expensive private jet, her publisher told ABC News.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor, who sold off a private jet belonging to the state calling it "over the top," has been getting around the U.S. for her book tour aboard a Gulfstream 2 private jet – at a cost of $4,000 per hour....

"Sarah Palin, I think, genuinely is a hockey mom, but every so often, she gets caught up in something a little more glamorous than that," said ABC News consultant Cokie Roberts.

During the presidential campaign, Palin was heavily criticized for the fancy designer clothes that she wore. The Republican Party had paid for the clothing for Palin....

Sarah-You go girl! If I had a jet, I’d use it more than Algore uses his! As it stands, I enjoy the heck out of driving around in my V-8 truck. I really like blowing the doors off of clown cars with Obama stickers on them.

Ohh, another reason to love her. She blows the GW crowd off, refuses to bend to PC, probably even uses plastic bags at the market.

You gotta love Sarah.

This is the kind of article that should end a career. However, on second look you see that there are three “reporters” which means this came from a top editor.

Sometimes you hate the media.

This is one where you just laugh at their gay asses.

Yeah, yeah, ya absolutely DO "gotta to love Sarah ". I know I do!

And was she supposed to DECLINE an offer to dine with Rev. Billy Graham because her bus would have been unable to make the journey and meet the next tour date? I mean....Cokie is pretty low, definitely not up to Sarah's standard, for sure.

Classic example of holding conservatives to a standard that no liberal would even contemplate for himself.

In the world of capitalism, something which you and ABC seem to dislike, this is known as a business expense with the express purpose of generating profits that exceed all expenses. It seems to be working rather well which is the cause of the panty wetting by you and the lefty media.

An “expensive private jet”? Is there another kind? Let’s ask every Hollywood liberal, they fly on them every day.

No liberal would EVER do that!!!!

That's what I was thinking...only government work, you know, done by government officials, is important enough to warrant jet travel.

And...as one supporter of Manbearpig said with a straight face, the fact that Algore makes the wheels spin on the electric meter at home is offset by the good works he does...

I hope she responds and points out that taxpayers pay for Obama’s and Pelosi’s trips.

Typical retarded "journalist". That can't discern the difference between wasteful and outrageous government spending, and private citizens utilizing private resources how they see fit.

Barack Obama has destroyed the centuries old contract law in the US with his takeover of GM. He's diddle for months on a troop increase request, while US servicemen died in Afghanistan. Unemployment continues to climb, despite the "success" of Obama's stimulus. And, we are facing deficits the size of which have never been seen in the history of the US. And yet, ABC news finds the time to write a "story" (with the help of three reporters) about a private citizens business trip(s). It's ridiculous.

Ah yes, a private jet. For a private citizen doing her own business. Good - aviation can use the business.

I've had a private jet for business trips before. Sometimes it's necessary, sometimes it's routine, it just depends on the business. The company I was working for owned an aviation company with a fleet of them and we paid an internal rate - so somewhere between convenience and necessity we were able to make use of those assets.

Beats the hell out of a commercial flight or a bus any day of the week.
