With the Copenhagen climate talks starting next week, climate-gate keeps getting worse. There is no precedent for so many academics engaging in coordinated efforts to distort research for political ends. The problems go well beyond deleting e-mails to prevent their disclosure from a Freedom of Information Act request. The UN claims that “there is ‘virtually no possibility’ of a few scientists” biasing their reports. But it doesn’t just involve a few minor figures: implicated are the most powerful and well placed people in academia -- heads of departments and centers.
The Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, which has been at the center of the scandal, has been incredibly influential in the global warming debate. The CRU collected the world's most extensive surface temperature data set by far and its research and mathematical models formed the basis of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's 2007 report.
But the CRU’s temperature data and all of the research done with it are now in question. The leaked e-mails show that the scientists at the CRU don’t know how their data was put together. . . .

One month ago “Climategate” wasn’t even a word. Now it will get over 12,000,00 hits on Google. Climategate is the biggest scam in history.
Throughout history soothsayers have used changing climates to impose taxes upon their followers and to wage war against unbelievers. It was always the crisis of their time, the end of the world, and the solution was always to give up something of value to the soothsayers who have discovered the means to solve the problem.
Once upon a time they asked for the virgin daughters, the fatted calf, the best of the harvest. Today they still seek out to take our children through their control of education, to take the best of the harvest through the imposition of harsh taxes, and in return they once again promise to a solution to a problem, a problem over which they have no control and no solution.
On the flip side, in this day and age, there are no virgin daughters left to give them. Their educational and cultural policies have stolen the innocence of childhood of even that singular gift.
In Mexico, they are airing commercials (save the Polar Bears and the like) in both Spanish and English calling it “Hopenhagen.”
I propose “Hopelesshagen” — it fits better and is more accurate.

MSM climategate deniers never get around to doing what John Lott does well in this piece: directly quoting the source material. Vivid, compelling quotes reveal the men working the levers behind the curtain.
It appears that Jones and Mann may have led a conspiracy — insofar as they apparently tried to rig the peer review process to block publication of studies that were authored by dissenters from the Jones/Mann/IPCC orthodoxy.
One wonders if any of the blocked authors have suffered injuries sufficient to support a common-law tort action or even a RICO suit against Jones, Mann and their putative co-conspirators?

MSM is digging in to marginalize or ignore this fraud. Who will be in Copenhagen to get this fraud in the faces of the attendees?? So far it appears that only believers are likely to be there. Even our official government stand support this fraud.
I just searched the CNN website and got ZERO hits for Climategate. I guess they haven’t mentioned the word a single time in any of their programs.
