Huckabee blames others for the deaths he is responsible for
The Examiner ^ | 11/30/2009 | Kevin Hall

Huckabee portrays himself as a "man of God". Perhaps his Christian beliefs led to granting so many clemencies. However, it is obvious that when Mike Huckabee is wrong, he is unable to admit his culpability. Huckabee has a very non-Christian way of blaming others for his faults.

I imagine the perp tearfully told the Huckster how he’d “come to Jesus” and promised to be a good boy and Huck naively swallowed it.

Agreed, but who is the idiot who let the guy out on bail in WA state? He was charged with child rape. The bail should have been more than $150,000.

You use a description of how, WITH a FACILITATING contrubition from Huckabee, a mad dog slaughters 4 humans in cold blood, to somehow show that Huckabee is in the clear on all of this.

Doesn’t work for me.

What may be of interest is the papers filed to reduce the sentence. Someone somewhere had to provide an argument in favor of the convict that the punishment was unjustified. Who did that?

This will change his standings in the polls.

In "my" poll, he's always been in last place:-)

He commuted the suspect’s sentence in 2000 from 108 years to 47 years in prison.

It's called a "decision tree", Freddd. Look it up.

Huckabee's incredibly bone-headed decision started the chain of events that lead directly to child rape and the murder of four cops.

Not only is that fat, useless, faux-Christian charlatan, SOB, responsible for for dead cops, he has raped children on his hands. I'd say conscience but it's obvious he doesn't have one.

The prosecutors in the case said they wrote to Huckabee advising AGAINST commutation.

The Huck says that the only person he heard from was the Judge who thought the sentence was excessive and that was good enough for Huck to sign off on it

Somebody isn't telling the truth. Either Huck or the prosecutors.

I’m getting rather sick of the Saul Alinsky tactics being played on Huckabee all of a sudden.

Gov Huckabee did not release the man suspected of killing 4 law enforcement officers. He commuted the suspect’s sentence in 2000 from 108 years to 47 years in prison. With a sentence of 47 years, an intervening party - a parole board - could decide whether he should be paroled or not. Huckabee did NOT set him free and did not parole him - but merely made it possible for him to be reviewed by others to make that decision. The now cop killer suspect was reviewed and paroled. He then violated parole. He was returned to prison in 2004. Some time later (I am not yet sure why), he was again paroled.

Sorry, but your reasoning is flawed. Here is the way it really works: If Huckabee hadn't commuted the killer's sentence he would never have been eligible for parole, and he wouldn't have been released, therefore Huckabee was totally responsible for he release and the myriad of crimes that have been committed by him. Other agencies and judges have also been complicit since his initial release, however, it boils down to what I previously said: No commutation, no initial release, no rapes and killings by this guy beyond his original crimes.

No one is using Alinsky tactics against Huckabee, this is not the only criminal who was set free by Huckabee. Read what the prosecutor who was in charge when Huck commuted his sentence, he outlined what was going to happen and it did.

Time for Huckabee to own up to his mistake.

What business does a politician have commuting sentences anyway? They are substituting their judgement for that of the police, and the courts. It is so difficult to convict someone who is guilty of crimes anyway.

Justice isn’t done when politicians interject themselves in the justice system.

This could never have happened if Huckabee had not commuted that sentence. He should accept resposnibility for his part in this horror story.

I honestly don’t know how I could live with myself if I had partially responsible for such a tragedy.

This Alinsky or the politics of Willie Horton. It is what it is.

Gov. Huckabee probably never read the confession of a demented killer named Glen Green before he made the monster eligible for parole. ___ Green's confession is so depraved, its sadistic details so scary that no sane, responsible adult would consider him for parole. ___ If the governor didn't read the confession, he is guilty of dereliction of duty.

Click the link for the rest of the article on this disgusting, evil, pos Huckabee made eligible for parole.
