Huckabee blames others for the deaths he is responsible for

Huckabee portrays himself as a "man of God". Perhaps his Christian beliefs led to granting so many clemencies. However, it is obvious that when Mike Huckabee is wrong, he is unable to admit his culpability. Huckabee has a very non-Christian way of blaming others for his faults.

This will change his standings in the polls. Real Americans are getting very tired of those that do not accept responsibility, but are quick to blame others.

It was probably Bush’s fault anyway!! :-)

I’m getting rather sick of the Saul Alinsky tactics being played on Huckabee all of a sudden.

Gov Huckabee did not release the man suspected of killing 4 law enforcement officers. He commuted the suspect’s sentence in 2000 from 108 years to 47 years in prison. With a sentence of 47 years, an intervening party - a parole board - could decide whether he should be paroled or not. Huckabee did NOT set him free and did not parole him - but merely made it possible for him to be reviewed by others to make that decision. The now cop killer suspect was reviewed and paroled. He then violated parole. He was returned to prison in 2004. Some time later (I am not yet sure why), he was again paroled.

I couldn’t believe a paper would use such a grammatically poor title.
For once I was right.

Your logic is a bit skewed. If Huckabee reduced this killers sentence from 108 to 47 years and that set him up for parole review then Huckabee is every bit as responsible for this tragedy.

The fact is that if Huckabee had not commuted the sentence this animal would never have been released. There is no way Huckabees culpability can be parsed or spun to change that fact.

There have been reports that Huckabee is saying he will not run for president. I hope they’re true because the man is really toast as far as national office is concerned—IMHO.

If what you say is true, then he is only part of the problem. He did, however, open the door.

I think the reason people are comfortable with blaming him is that they would like to see him off the screen for 2012. I don’t care for him for some reason....I always thought he was a little smarmy. Just don’t trust him.

I bet that this incident is not the only incident where Huckabee’s releasees have committed crimes again. Someone needs to research them and list them all.

None of which would have happened if Huckabee hadn't signed the ORIGINAL CLEMENCY!

The blood of those cops is all over that fat fraud no matter how you spin it.

The prosecutors sought the huge sentence on this career criminal nutcase for a reason. They knew he would be a menace to society. Huck should never have reduced his sentence making this evil predator eligible for parole.

Huck screwed up, and this wasn’t the first criminal he gave a break to that killed or committed a crime after he commuted their sentence.

Nice try, Mr. Passthebuckabee. Were it not for your ill-advised action, four innocent people would still be alive.

There already was at least one. One guy he let out went out and brutally raped and murdered a woman after he was released.

Gov Huckabee paroled the man because he thought being Christlike is to be a Jesus. Problem is Jesus can read a man’s mind/heart, while devoted Christians cannot. The governor may be a great minister, but he is not a perfect judge of men. Being POTUS you not only have to make decisions but also be a judge of men. That applies to dealing with subordinates, opposition and foreign leaders. Misread any of them and diseaster can befall on the administration or nation. Death of the four police officers is not in vain, but it may be the Almighty’s signal to conservatives that Gov Huckabee is not the man to lead this nation for the trouble times ahead.
