At about 7:20 a.m. Monday, police entered the home. Clemmons was not inside.

Troyer said several other people suspected of helping Clemmons have been detained and more may be taken into custody in Seattle and Pierce County.

Earlier, Clemmons was identified as the focus of a manhunt because evidence led police to believe that the 37-year-old was in the area of the Sunday shootings.

How in the world did this guy slip through the dragnet? I was up till 11:30 listening to this on the Police scanner and I was confident I would wake up with news he was dead or in custody.

I am going to be carrying a whole lot more from now on. We have Hispanic gangs moving to Washington like crazy, and we got beast like this guy being let loose by greasy officials that should be looking out for the publics safety.

That’s the problem with these extended standoffs, especially when the suspect is unresponsive, everyone’s attention is diverted and the suspect has several hours before the authorities know he (the suspect) isn’t there.

Go back in and check again. I have read of cases where a house was searched multiple times without success only to find the guy hiding behind a shower curtain or in a closet.

The press is reporting that he was sentenced to 60 years in Arkansas for some very violent crime, not certain yet what that was, and then Governor Huckabee commuted his sentence.

The press did not report the name of the judge that put a low bail on him after being arrested recently for raping a 13 year old girl and assaulting some one else.
