Why tea party patriots should support Sarah Palin should she decide to run
11/28/2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/28/2009 12:28:57 PM PST by Jim Robinson

She's a God, Country, Family, small government, no nonsense traditional Christian conservative. She's an outsider not corrupted by business as usual Washington politics. They hate her. She's pro defense. An army mom. She's pro-gun. Hunts, fishes and enjoys the great outdoors. She eats corrupt office holders and wasteful spenders for lunch. She drills for oil. She's a fighter. A winner!

She's the exact opposite to Obama in all respects. She's an American patriot!

In short, she's exactly what we the grassroots tea party patriots are looking for.

What part of "running mate" do you not understand?
As the vice-presidential candidate she had to support McCain's decisions.
She doesn't support the bailouts now and admitted the 1st one was a huge mistake.

The first primary is over three years away don't you think that it is way too early to pick up nominees and candidates for 2012

Which is why Jim clearly said "Should she run..."

It is much better to focus on defeating Obama socialism for the near future

This is what Palin has been doing in addition to the grassroots.

before picking a nominee and cause massive meaningless infighting.

So are you going to criticize Bob J when he writes another anti-Palin screed that does exactly that?

I know you don't like Dr. Paul and I agree with you that he's wrong on the war on terrorism and most of foreign policy.

But it was his campaign who made the Tea Parties what they are today. His supporters made their own signs, held meet-up groups (the forerunner of the Tea Parties) and donated their own money to him, and held various rallies on the days of his one-day online fundraising records.

I attended some of these meet-up groups where we would hold signs at intersections supporting Paul, and holding rallies at parks protesting big gov't. Same thing the Tea Partiers are doing now.

All of this happened way before Rick Santelli's rant.

You need to appreciate the libertarians (the small gov't libertarians not the pot smoking/911 Truther kooks) that Paul has brought back into the GOP. Without them the GOP would be dead.

Is it true I just heard that Ron Paul was a big part in starting the Tea Party movement?

Yes. By and large, Ron Paul's campaign kick-started the Tea Party movement.

“We are going to put Marco Rubio in as our Florida Governor”

Rubio is running for the open Senate seat. What's this about being governor?

Neither the GOP nor DEMS have the answers. If anyone thinks they will “rid” the GOP of the RINO’s they are only kiddings themselves...GW was a freakin RINO.

If you continue to vote for DEMS or GOP you are contributing to the problem. It is exactly how we got here today. Who knew how profoundly right Ross Perot was when he ran.

WE MUST BREAK THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM OR WE WILL LOSE OUR COUNTRY FOREVER.

It is the two party system that is the problem, you can’t fix stupid guys...

This is the first time in history when we will actually have a shot at fixing the system and actually getting on the right path.

I know many good conservatives including on FR who will never again go near a Tea Party event.
The Ron Paul loons have hijacked them with the crapOla including handing out 9/11 Truther material.
Have seen this first hand and have head the same thing from other states.

Ron Paul’s anti war , close Gitmo and bring the trial to NY,
and other Far Left views are no different than Obama’s.
It is great to have small Gov. but with Ron Paul’s foreign policy, America won’t have any government. I thank
Republicans, especially the Conservative ones for keeping
the Ron Paul loons from not destroying this country.

You obviously have imbibed in too much sea water!

We are NOT about saving the worthless Rinos and Blue Bloods of the GOP!

We ARE about kicking their useless asses out of our party which they think they own!

I went back to my roots over the Thanksgiving day and gave my sister Sarah’s book. She was pleasantly surprised. I believe that America may be ready for a female President. That is the barrier. Men do not like the fact that emotions are worn on sleeves but it seems that she is capable of wiping it there just the same.

Frugal? How is voting for any GOP or DEM being frugal?

http://usdebtclock.org/

The only reason we are in the situation we are...the GOP enabled the spending and started it and Obama is just finishing the job of destroying our country that Bush was well on his way.

If you really are frugal or a fiscal conservative then there is NO WAY you can vote for DEM or GOP...NONE OF THEM FIT THE BILL.

Palin will run. She hasn’t any choice. She’ll do what is best for the Republic, and she knows it. If a strong draft movement is started, from the grassroots of the Conservative Republican party, her hat will be in the ring. The howling from the Left and the country club and cafeteria “conservatives” will certainly validate the choice of Palin.

Sorry...George Bush and the GOP have been the best friends of the Socialists. Proof is sitting right in front of us.

I cannot support the GOP or the DEMS from this point forward. Supporting either party is just different forms of suicide.

Both parties have too many special interests that they must cater to. The only special interest that I want catered to is the US Constitution. Both parties view the constitution as a hinderence. Look at the Natural Born Citizen issue...NO ONE IS DISCUSSING, NO ONE IS PUSHING FOR THE SUPREME COURT TO BE DECISIVE ABOUT IT. That speaks volumes of both parties. They are just different speeds to tyranny.

If you think you are actually going to change the GOP you are only fooling yourself. You might change it for one election but as soon as they get to DC and have to tow the GOP line WE ARE DONE.

We actually have a chance to break the two party system and actually get people in their that don’t give a chit about a party, the special interests...what we need are people who will get term limits passed...NO GOP OR DEM is going to do that seriously.

We need people bound by a common goal to go in and order the investigation of both parties, every single member and expose ALL the criminals so we can clean house. The stiffest sentences need to be handed down to send a resounding message that Americans will never suffer tyranny again.

The GOP or the DEMS will never do that.

So supporting the GOP is no different than supporting the DEMS...in a few years based on stupid-short-sighted decisions driven by special interest and the overwhelming desire to be re-elected we will have another batch of socialists destroying our country from within.

Remember just a couple of years ago Obama was not even known...in the next year we can leverage the opportunity here and get people elected that are really interested in supporting the Constitution and not just some people that are willing to lie to us, use the GOP banner, scare you with the thought that you can’t possibly win because everyone knows a 3rd party can’t win...just to screw us all over once they get in.

Continuing to support the two-party system only continues this disaster. Let’s fix it for our children’s sake.

I know many good conservatives including on FR who will never again go near a Tea Party event.

The Tea Parties I witnessed had middle-aged people from all walks of life and from different races. I haven't heard of anyone handing out 9/11 Truther propaganda flyers. I don't know what Tea Parties you're talking about - the ones where they actually serve tea and crumpets?

The Ron Paul loons have hijacked them with the crapOla including handing out 9/11 Truther material.

Horses--t. Ron Paul has denounced the Truthers, white supremacists, and kooks a million times over. A small handful of them tried to exploit his campaign - all to discredit him because his movement was gaining traction. It's too bad you don't realize this, because all those people participating in the Tea Parties now were inspired by Paul first. I've been to the rallies and there were NONE of the kooks you talked about. In fact, Paul held a (for some reason my link is not working, but here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BWFD4qPAfc) Veteran's Day rally in Philadelphia in 2007 supporting and thanking the troops. Is this something a 9/11 Troofer/white supremacist/isolationist kook would do?

I don't care how many times you post this. I have ignored it because I have moved past Ron Paul and moving forward to support Palin, but keep in mind it's just isn't true.

Ron Paul’s anti war , close Gitmo and bring the trial to NY, and other Far Left views are no different than Obama’s.

Ron Paul is in his mid-70s. He is an aging Congressman who has already said he's not going to run in 2012. I don't agree with his foreign policy and war views - but you cannot deny that he has single-handedly revived the small gov't movement back in the GOP. He completely ripped the mask off the two-party facade. That is my point - that his campaign has inspired many ordinary Americans to get involved again.

It is great to have small Gov. but with Ron Paul’s foreign policy, America won’t have any government.

Ron Paul has no control over foreign policy, his views are completely irrelevant. He will not be the nominee - so why worry about him?

It is amazing how so many people have forgotten and have forgotten what was done to enable this...and we are repeating it all over again.

You have to wonder what side a lot of these elected officials are on.

Jim, We here in the Northeast Texas Piney Woods are making a very strong move to totally fill all our local, county and regional Republican offices (including Poll Judges) with "Tea Party Conservatives". And we are trying to see that the same thing happens all across our State -- so that when Convention time comes, there will be two parties in Texas: Conservative Republican -- and whatever the liberals call themselves...

I tried the third party route once -- and got Clinton.

This time, we Conservatives simply must take over the Republican Party so that we remain a two-party nation -- with the RINOS having to "make the tough choices"...

And we need to do that for 2010.

If Sarah is available, she has tons of support here in Texas; we just have to kick the RINOpublicans out of the way...

(Of course, if all goes as it should, Øbozo will be in Leavenworth by 2012!)
